After we read Catcher in the Rye in english, our project was to find any other form of media that related to the book. I immediately thought of this song. Not to say it was written with the intention of complementing the book but I think the two are very similar. The whole idea of being sort of an outcast searching for themself especially. However, if you have read Catcher in the Rye, the word I immediately think of when it says, 'and if i claim to be a wise man, it surely means I do not know' is Phony. To me, this song defines Holden Caufield. |
