you know, i've watched LOTR like a million times, but i've never really stopped to listen to this song. now that i have, i'm totally blown away. for me, it seems to say "life's hard and things will not always go how you want them to, but that's how it is. so just let it be." as a firm believer in God, i feel that there is always a reason for everything that happens in my life, like a lesson to learn or a challenge to take. so "may it be". great song, great movie, great singer. just amazing

this song reminds me of a friend that i had that i was extremely close too, pretty much to the point of loving her. but she turned her back on me because she wanted to be accepted by a cooler crowd. all this time, i've felt like she's been leeching my emotion with the way she's just completely ignored me. so finally after all this time, i've moved on and had my closure.

personally i do think this song is about asking God to hear your problems. naturally this song is open to interpretation, so it's all up to u, but i'm not sure how it could be much else, especially if u do believe in God and have desperately sought help. if u don't believe in God then i can see where u'd want to interpret it as something else. i won't knock anyone's personal beliefs, but christianity is not a disease. this country was built on christianity, so it will always be an important part of our lives, like it or not. if u don't like it, tough shit. and from what i hear when i listen to chevelle, whether or not they are an openly christian band, they display those beliefs and themes in their music.

i relate really well to this song, but in a different way than some. i've always sacrificed so much for my friends, but they never seem to care. a lot of times they completely blow me off, but i don't want to walk away and i pretend sometimes to be happy. that's what i think about when i hear this song.

The Beatles – Can't Buy Me Love Lyrics

it's definitely just about the value of love, no sex or prostitutes involved. the song is saying "if you want material stuff that's fine, but that's not what i want to give you. i don't care about materials because that's not what love is about." i hadn't heard this song in a while, but i heard this newer version that paul mccartney worked on with this jazz singer named michael buble. i love it, but with the jazz feel, it doesn't a great deal like the original except the general tempo. it's a great listen.

a truly beautiful song. i'm a big fan of the way linkin park uses simple words that move your heart nonetheless. this is a song about love and not wanting to lose it through mistakes, and how we would give anything to have someone. who would want to be alone without love? this is linkin park at it's most ceative and versatile. here's a good song for relationships to let someone know what they mean to you.
