I agree with darkanj3l, It is not healthy to need someone this much! I dig this song. I'm digging the beat, the lyrics. It just strings together so nicely. Sadly I understand what he's getting at in his lyrics. I have felt/feel this way, I can't quite decide. It's a rather complicated situation. |

My understanding of the song is that he's singing to a girl in which he has nothing in common with. Like saying somebody is from a completely different planet. "two spinning spheres in a bed of stars" Implying that there is a great distance between the 2. About the silence, he wonders where her mind wanders when they aren't speaking. Him talking about Drifting out in the darkness and being lost out on the horizon is saying that no matter what he'll come to her rescue. The verse that he sings about the atmosphere, I think he's seeing her true colors and what she is really about. Even though he is seeing her flaws, perhaps she isn't the nicest person, He's still in love with her. "I don't know how to do this, I dont know how to get through" plus the " I can't stop loving you" Is him saying that even though at times she may be difficult and she may hurt him He can't stop loving her. He just keeps coming up with new ways to tell her that he can't/ won't stop loving her, he'll always be there to bail her out. ALSO: I know some of you will say that Music videos usually have nothing to do with a song and its meaning BUT in the video of this song he is put through the elements, so to speak. He (and his piano) Go through flood-like rain, High winds, Freezing, and instense heat. and through all of this he keeps playing his piano singing until his piano falls apart and even then he won't stop singing. So yeah those are my thoughts on it. |

Well to me I think that the song is about a person cheating in a relationship, or on the verge of cheating. In the first lines he's stating that he's never felt like this before, that this girl brings out the better side of him. He then asks her what took her so far away, another person maybe? So he tells her that instead of him saying his piece that she should say whats been on her mind, perhaps the answer to what took her so far away. She can say what she wants to say and he won't stop her he'll just listen. About her owning the rights he'll never own, How she has the right to feel this way in a sense. He's never felt so alien/ alone, he's just realizing whats been going on. The third verse implies that there relationship had been rocky but now that he nows the reason why he's not going to stop her from leaving and he won't change the fact that she's leaving. The chemistry of a car crash is just sitting back and watching it all fall apart. |

| love this Song!!! period they should have realeased onto the air waves but no use crying over spilled milk. its one of the ones you dont forget. reminds me of when i moved my sophmore year of highschool and i met this utterly beautiful person so..... anyways the point was it hit me so hard because truly things weren't the way they used to be. and just to think of this person would take the edge off the pain a bit. this whole song pertained to my situation. right down to my mom telling me that things would get better. iy was this song that got me through that rough time. i love it. | |

| yes i must agree that it is a good song. odd for a person like me not my style of music at ALL. anyways i think that the song may mean that she was in a relationship where her partner wasn't there physically or emotionally so she would find things to make a fuss over so that he would pay attention to her. so finally she became so emoyionally exhausted that she gave up on the relationship...... but i am probably wrong | |
