Well think about it,the first stanza is really the only part that doesn't exactly fit in with the rest of the song. I think everyone is taking the meaning quite literally. "There's 52 ways to murder anyone" - I think he means emotionally,meaning hurting someone inside to the point to where he kills them inside or pushes them to suicide. Especially when it reads "I'm coming clean for Amy" - I don't think he means like admitting to killing her. I think he is finally going to be honest with her about everything dishonest he has done. When he says "Julie doesn't scream as well" - I don't think he means torturing her or killing her. I might just have a dirty mind but I thought it might just mean sexually. Basically,that he fucked around with other people,such as Julie,and he realized he just had to be honest with Amy,since he realized that after everything,she was the one that he truly did love...which is why he had to be honest with her. No matter how much he killed her either emotionally or literally. The rest of the song just makes sense after that,that he is sitting around dwelling on what he did and depressed that he screwed up the chance he had with the one girl he actually loved. Which leaves him crying alone on a saturday night as he knows he left Amy to die with his "52 ways".

This song basically speaks of everyday dichotemies and preaches just to be oneself and that's the only way to make it through the day okay.The beginning talks of someone pained and dealing with it,while then someone else tries to make their problem go away in whatever way.With the flowers,they can mean two different things.One person's life is just beginning and opening up with future oppurtunities,as flowers can also symbolize life's end.Continues to talk about some people need others to be happy,while some only find pain in people.Continues on to talk about not wanting to be noticed, but at the same time does.Concluding that life can suck,but everything will be alright.Throwing in every now and then,that "being yourself is all that you can do."

This song is about trying so hard to forget about someone that mattered so much, and trying to convince yourself that life really continues on without someone.The chorus admits that he feels that he can't make it on his own because his heart is still in another place in which he needs to be.He explains that the special person,he cares so much and pretends not to,that overall it just breaks him down and kills him inside and he knows it'll be that way until the day he dies cause he just can't let that special someone go.He had his own ways of dealing with it all,but at the end of the day,he realizes that he can either fall asleep to temporarily forget,or permanently end his feelings in suicide.an unfortunate feeling i know well....

Linkin Park – Breaking The Habit Lyrics

I believe it's all personal interpretation,along with Chester who has his own in which he based it upon.It's so easy to relate to the song and find it meaningful due to it being so open since everybody has their problems they try to break.But essentially,it's about someone having a problem,people think they're safe when they're stable for a moment,(you all assume i'm safer in my room,unless i try to start again)but that's when they're truly unstable."it hurt much more than anytime before"because their problem just gets more and more severe."i'll paint it on the walls,'cause i'm the one at fault" is saying that he'll finally admit what he's doing is wrong,even though he can't change it.i personally interpret this song upon someone i know who is terribly emotional unstable and who has a few psychological conditions that they deny to themselves.they have a cycle they get into when they break,and they can't understand why they do it.but they know it will always be that way.it is truly a depressing song in so many aspects, yet so many can easily relate to it.

this song i believe i found by fate.i don't usually believe in any of that but listen to my story.i had relationship problems with my boyfriend and we broke up.this song showed up on my computer the day before we hooked up again and no one had been on it to download it.so i started listening to the song and was hooked on it.i never knew the lyrics though until tonight i finally found them on here.i had no idea the song was about a break up such as it explains in the lyrics above since i never really caught the lyrics.it's so weird though because now it explains pretty well how things are going with my boyfriend and i now.this song is so upsetting thinking about a relationship that has to end soon enough when no one really wants it to.but then again it may be what gets me through it...
