I'm sorry if i offended anyone by what i said earlier but all I was trying to say was that if you like this song that you may also like other Nirvana songs cuz if you read correctly at the beginning, I DO like this song so I don't hate it cuz it IS a good song... So if you took what i said offending then I'm sorry. And I do agree with what you said about this site being called songmeanings... but it's kind of hard not to write about your own opinion cuz saying what the song means to you is a part of your opinion but I could be wrong... I'm sorry if I have offended anyone again from what i sayed here too... so if you 'somehow' got offended... i'm sorry...

Nirvana – Smells Like Teen Spirit Lyrics

I'd like to say that this is a good song but it is over played. There are many songs that are better by Nirvana but this one is the most 'popular' for some reason. I'm not saying that I hate Nirvana cuz it is my favourite band of all, but when the band is only known for one song... it kinda ticks me off. So if you if you really think that you like Nirvana, then the least you could do is listen to other songs from the band such as 'Sliver' or 'Lounge Act' (they are probably my favourites...).

Have you idiots have any idea what the fuck your talking about, Courtney would never kill Kurt. And if you had any idea how much of a reck she was after Kurt's suicide, you would know how stupid you are. Kurt and Courtney would always sing with each other because they loved eachother so much (2 Examples are Drunk in Rio, and Asking For It). And if you read what 'shadowwiththeeyes' said then you would no that Coutney couldn't have killed Kurt. Oh, and inside_the_cynic, Kurt made this song just as little as Courtney did cuz it's been covered alot, and if you read the commets of this song in the Nirvana section you would know that lingsam put a large comment about the history of the song and that it is very, very old and that it was originally called 'In The Pines' (which also reminds me that the lyrics are wrong cuz it isn't supposed to say 'in the patch'...) therefore Kurt didn't have to give legal rights to Courtney.

To all you people who like this song cuz of the fact that it is anti-media, and it bitches america, you are all stupid for 2 reasons, Green Day should not sing about how stupid amercia is cuz they live in america... if you hate the country then just leave it and don't bitch about it in a shitty song... and secondly, Green Day IS a BIG part of the media cuz of 'popularity' so if Green Day sings about the media being stupid then they ar also sing about the band being stupid. Another thing to point out how Green Day is shitty is that THEY ARE NOT ORIGINAL AT ALL! I have three points of evidence to prove that Green Day is just ripping off of 'The Sex Pistols': 1. in one song, they say 'you're futures no future' which is a 'God Save The Queen' rip off where they say 'no future, no future, no future for you'. 2. That piece of shit 'Benji' wears a lock and chain, which is a rip off of the one 'Sid Vicious' (the bassist) wears. 3. 'Benji' calls himself 'Kid Vicious' which is a MAJOR rip off of 'Sid Vicious' this one just pisses me right off cuz it just goes too fucking far, quoting the Sex Pistols, i can live with, wearing a lock an chain, eh thats not much, but calling yourself 'Kid Vicious' is just too far and especially for the fact that he wears a lock and chain and quotes the band. Benji can just go fuck himself cuz he is a good for nothing piece of shit. And one more thing... GREEN DAY IS NOT PUNK!!!!!!

I got two things to say, number one is about people saying that people are being manipulated by MTV, but the thing is that your actually being manipulated yourselves. I'm not saying that I like MTV or anything but still nobody would normaly talk about something as stupid as MTV unless their being manipulated to do so. My next thought is about everybody saying that punk is being changed to crappy pop-punk and saying that punk is about expressing things the way YOU ALONE think of, but you bitching about new crap is just not letting them speak the way THEY want no matter how shitty it may be, I hate all of it myself but i don't talking about just so that I can say that i know true punk or anything. To be punk, people say you have to say what you want, but really... doing that sometimes doesn't let others say what they want therefore making you hipocritical (is that how you spell it? i don't know). MTV can only ruin things you like if you let them. if you think something sucks cuz it was on MTV, then your not really thinking it sucks cuz you think so. Overall i'm actualy being stupid too in the way that everyone else here is which is by trying to change everyone elses thoughts and no I do not like MTV or ANY new music at all, all I like really like is just DK, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Sex Pistols, and Beat Happening, and thats all but I don't complain on other bands cuz then I cant let people speak the way thaey want to. I'm sorry if I've offended anyone, witch I probably have, but right now everone, including me is being stupid in my point of view.
