I think it's about how bittersweet love really is. It all has to end someday when one of them dies, and I think this song is like he's finally realizing all of this and he's scared to lose the other person. He's saying "Please don't leave me, I can't live without you" even though he knows it has to end someday. Bittersweet is the only word I can think of. I fucking love this song, the first time I heard it I cried, it really got to me. I still get chills every time I hear the first verse. "I'd do anything for a smile, holding you till our time is done. We both know the day will come but I don't want to leave you." Got chills just from reading it. a;sldkfjas;oief I LOVE THIS SONG. |
