I strongly believe that the album Deadwing is about incest. Read my other reviews to find out why. Anyway I think that this song(the opener) is about full blown incest and how it leaves someone emotionally damaged and mind altered for life. Adrian Belew's guitar solo captures this kind of pain perfectly. |

I believe that Deadwing is about incest. On the Deadwing tour Steve Wilson said that the song Lazarus was about a young man who came to a wrong point in his live and had to choose a road for himself. This would support my theory about incest. Also this song has seductive lyrics that probably relate to incest. |

This is my all time favorite Porcupine Tree song. I never really knew about it until I heard it live but now I love it. It is a hidden gem. Both the lyrics and the music are both so fucking powerful. I had this song stuck in my head for about a week once and I couldn't even function right because this song is so moving and beautifully depressing. It is obviously about a boy(possibly Steven Wilson) who is having some trouble. |

For example "Ive got people underneath my bed, I've got books that never ever end" possibly relates to a torturer/serial killer such as the BTK killer |
