Someone said Dave was a widower, that is NOT TRUE! When I first heard this song, I definitely pictured Grace as dead. I think it's about a dead loved one. |

Oh, I think the comment made about this song being about Dave (mad at the world) talking to his fans is really insightful. It must be a burden at times to be so loved and practically worshipped by many. I have to keep myself in check over idolizing him, it's really easy but I know not cool with God (IMO). |

There has been debate on the WH boards over the worthiness of WYA as a closer. I definitely think it's worthy! The raw emotion and power as Dave wails at the end, what a better way to end an incredible night! I personally didn't see it as a closer and am done with shows this year, but it would have been nice. |

I agree with WIP99 for the most part, and with nirvanaserenity about the eye for an eye. I could see it both ways actually. Jesus, the misguided fool, espousing love in such a hateful world, but misguided because no one listens. Hence, he's being sarcastic about it. Or, George W., misguided because he attacked Iraq as "revenge" for 9/11, hence, an eye for an eye. But definitely, I think this song is clearly about the Iraq war and DM's liberal, peace loving ideals (which I happen to love and agree wholeheartedly with). |
