Just think about it. KurtTBO gave us a very important hint to understand every Bowie Song. Every Bowie song is about Nirvana. Like Lady Stardust is about Kurt Cobain using drags on stage and Life On Mars is about Kurt Cobain watching a film. Kurt Cobain is known to have inspired Bowie a lot in the 70's . And for the name, you are SO right, Ziggy? I mean what is that supossed to be? Where does that guy come from?Space or what? |

I heard it was about Heroin and Drugs in general wich does make sense once you read it. Though that Lowestof thing is quite logical too |

beautiful song I think it's not for a man, the line should be written like: You see me crying Say: "You're a ladies man" like he wants her but is in an relationship and she doesn't want to get the problems an affair produces. What I'll never understeand is the hair thing. I'm quite sure that's one of those personal stories that people will only understeand once Steven explains it |

| David Bowie – Life on Mars? Lyrics | 20 years ago |

I think this song is just about being different, like feeling that you belong to somewhere else (mars?). The lyrics may be just pictures to demonstrate how different views people can have like the lawman who thinks he's doing something great by beating the wrong guy. But since things are shown you from another perspective, you know the lawman is not really doing any good. Well, I really can't interpretate every line I just have the feeling it is about the "freaks from mars" the weird guys or girl that never fit in somewhere |
