interesting side not: john entwistle couldn't pronounce the 'r' in friend, so they double tracked the first line with him saying "fwend" in one take and "flend" in the other, then melded them together. if you listen closely you can hear it. |

I agree with bob3lb, i hate ppl like that. stop being so feckin arrogant, just because a band becomes popular and starts makin money for somehtin that theyre good at doesnt make them shite. and SkaFreak, did u ever think that maybe they get heaps of emails from fans like you asking questions about this or that or the other, and that they dont have time to answer them all? freakin eedjit. also i dont see whats wrong with this song. so they have ONE song that isnt ska. big fuckin deal. i dont mind it. i mean yeah, so theyhave other songs that are better, this is still a decent song. |

i agree with everything everyone has sed. when bon first states that 'One of these daaaays I'mm gonna, Change my evil ways', he gives a sort of guffaw of sorts, as if hes saying, as a kind of aside, that he knows it'll be almost impossible to do so, but as he gets towards the end of the song he becomes more desperate as he reflects on everything he's done: 'got a one-way ticket, goin the wrong way'. and then his calling of 'one of these days.....one of these days....' as keith angus page sed, in an almost anguished tone. it really shows that life on the road isn't all its cracked up to be. |
