I think this is a suicide anthem, but not in the glorifying suicide kinda way. The first lines are about how he's not gonna be there anymore- I will crawl away for good, etc. Actually, it might just be about him leaving Nirvana, like he was rumoured to be considering shortly before his death. But it makes sense either way- its about him going away in some form or another. He says "I always knew it would come to this" meaning he knew eventually things would get this bad and he'd have to do something about it, whether that just meant retiring from the music business or suicide if he was contemplating it by this point, no-one knows apart from dear old kurt, who isn't in a position to answer questions anymore. All you so called Nirvana fans who have these crazy conspiracy theories, honest to God you give the rest of us a bad name- almost every topic on Nirvana songs are filled with you nutters. Honestly, give it a break, no-one wants to hear it anymore, and I don't think Kurt would appreciate those comments about his wife/widow, who also rocks btw. |

the version on the forthcoming Jagged Little Pill Acoustic album has the lyrics tweaked a little so now it says: It's meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful husband

its about a couple who are in love but seem to be unhappy with each other, and both want the other to change, but the last verse sums everything up: we want to change each other, but its not gonna happen, but thats just the way it goes and we still love each other regardless |

in an interview, Guy said the idea for this came from when he was at a party and met a girl who he hadnt seen for a long time and she looked great compared to how she had looked before, and when he asked what amazing diet or new drug she was on, she told him that she was in love. Then Imogen put her own spin on the lyrics, about being happy for a friend who is in love but secretly you love them and want their love to be directed towards you |

i dont think the buddhist line would be interpreted as racist, i mean im a buddhist and that line doesnt offend me at all, i think its funny which i think was the intention of the line. Plus buddhism teaches you don't have to be buddhist to be enlightened, so she's not saying anything offensive as far as we are concerned.... |

i've heard the remix with kelis, its pretty good actually, just extra lyrics which kelis sings that intermingle with bjork's, all of which fit with the meaning of the original |
