"Science could be refering to weapons (Atomic) that will end us all. " It is not limited to weapons. He is referring to the pursuit of science without the regard of basic moral values; pursuing science in the wrong way (abortion, stem cell research, weapons as you said etc.) |

i believe this song is about abortion. the last two lines of the whole song sum up everything. they go as follows (the llyrics on this page are wrong): "dont we all know life is sacred? dont we all bleed the same red blood?" |

I believe this song is about Christians and how we see ourselves in this world. 'Image of the Invisible' refers to Christians as the Image of God. -we're more than carbon and chemicals free will is ours and we can't let go we can't allow this, the quiet cull so we sing out this, our canticle we are the image of the invisible- 1. we are living human beings...not something created in a lab. 2. God gave us free will and we cant abandon that 3. We can allow evil to take over/be drawn into evil/ have christianity fade away 4. we sing this song in protest 5. we are all under the image of God on earth -we all were lost now we are found no one can stop us or slow us down we are all named and we are all known we know that we'll never walk alone- 1. we were lost in the beginning... but Jesus came and guided us/saved us 2. We wont give into evil/sins of the world 3. people know who Christians are 5. God will always be with us to guide us -we're more than static and dial tone we're emblematic of the unknown raise up the banner, bend back your bows remove the cancer, take back your souls we are the image of the invisible- 1. static/dial tone is usually something you hear or see when you pick up the phone... but dont pay attention to. i think he is putting it in terms of christianity saying how it isnt just 'there' 2. we represent God 3 & 4. Get rid of evil/sins in your life 5. because we represent God on earth -though all the world may hate us, we are named though shadow overtake us, we are known- 1. Not alot of people agree with Christianty and most of the world hates it... but they know who we are/what it is 2. I think this line refers to some of the bad rap the 'gay preachers/priests' give to Christianity Just my 2c on the song and what I think it means.:) |
