Dire Straits – Telegraph Road Lyrics 19 years ago
I just realized from tmundo's comment that the Telegraph Road really exists and it's in Michigan. I grew up to music in the very late 80's and early 90's and Dire Straits were one of the bands that I heard all the time. And by that time I saw a documentary about a town named Flint in Michigan (I think it's Michael Moore's Roger & Me but I can't tell for sure) about how the town was solid and good to live in and then Gneral Motors closed its factorys in the area and the town just went numb and empty. And from that time I always associated Telegraph Road with that documentary and the story of that town; turns out I was sort of right because, according to Mark's words, the song is really about "all the way down the Telegraph Road" and Flint is a town in the Telegraph Road.

Johnny Cash – Personal Jesus (Depeche Mode cover) Lyrics 19 years ago
I have to go with BBDemus. Of all versions, the last I heard is the original from Depeche Mode. Meanwhile, as Marilyn Manson's sounds almost like a parody of a jesus, the version on Cash sounds much like the devil's whispering at your hear: "Come here, my boy, I might very well be your favorite jesus...". A pretty good blues version, better than the original, one has to say.
