| DMBgirl267 -- I'm surprised as a DMB fan and a user of this site you would think that Don't Drink the Water is a song about Dave... that song is about when the colonists came to America and pushed the Native Americans off their land. People were told not to drink the water from streams because there could be blood in it from all the fighting going on... Dave is always all about helping others! :) | |

I just discovered KT Tunstall 2 days ago and fell in love with her style and voice. This is the favorite of the songs I've heard thus far. It's partially because of the way it "fits" into my life right now, but I absolutely LOVE the harmony as well. Great song, agree with Pixie. I was trying to figure out the line "You've got to try to trust yourself I know it's so hard, so hard." I'm not sure of what she's saying. Any ideas? |

| Thank you HDfan41! You made the obvious connection between Everybody Wake Up and Out of My Hands. My take on it is that Everbody wake up has to do with during the campaigning for the presidential election and bush's attitude towards 9/11. Then he actually got re-elected! And this is Dave's reaction towards that. He was able to make his opinion heard during the campaigns, but now that the election's over, there's nothing he (nor anyone else) can do about it. It's so sad. Who knows what will happen now that we have another 4 years with this madman! | |

| I agree with wjp99....mostly. I don't think the verse about an eye for an eye has any connotation towards Jesus. Everybody's heard the phrase, an eye for an eye, including Bush. If you remember his fire and brimstone speech right ater 9/11 you'll recall how Bush basically said those who attack the US will be hunted down and killed. Bush's entire attitude about it was if you do something to America, we're going to turn around and do it back to you. Does anyone see the hypocrisy in this? When will his term be up? Not soon enough! | |
