| they have a think on mtv.com that explains their name and stuff. they were called the Towheads (as in the nickname for a blonde) once... then it was Moss Eisley from Star Wars, and they changed it for fear of being sued. | |

this song reminds me of palestine, texas. and tyler. which are pretty close to each other. and tyler is of course where they're from. but whatever |

actually, i was wrong in my first comment. it is scar. which makes me believe even more that it is a mother/daughter type of conversation. yanno, c-section scars/stretch marks that sort of thing. but who knows? |

yeah, scatterbra1n, the form of "sow" used here is correct. anyway, I couldn't believe they were from Tyler either, because I'm from Palestine. If you think Tyler is crappy, try Palestine. We had to go to Tyler to find anything fun to do. Anyway, when I met them a few months ago at a show it was great and obvious where they were from because they're so friendly and just... really nice. Genuinely good people. Bah, I'm still star-struck. Completely. |

"Actually, pantsuit, the band were originally called Moss Eisley with two s's. " actually, they're from around here and according to my ex who met them long before i did, they WERE originally Mos Eisley, from Star Wars. But I don't know, I didn't know them then |

karo_robo, they are more than fabulous. they're the best thing to come out of east texas (yay TYLER!) ever. they make beautiful music and are genuinely nice people. anyway... I remember the first time I heard this song, for some reason it made me think of someone you love dying... particularly it made me think of that movie My Girl. And I know it probably has NOTHING to do with it either, it just made me think of it. If they come to Houston again, I'm hoping I can actually talk to them again because I really wanted to know about this song in particular... it brings me really close to tears sometimes just because it's that beautiful |

It's star, I do believe. Gosh I wish I had my CD with me. Anyway, I love this song... it's the only song with my name in it worth listening to, really. And plus they jokingly told me it was about me. Heh. Crazy kids. Anyway, when I hear it it makes me think of the million times my mother has been like "Sandra, you're so crazy blah blah blah is it my fault?!" so I'll go with the parent-child situation. |
