I'm just going to take a shot with what I personally think... I think this song is about the separation of two people, most likely a couple? One is really missing the other because the other one is going on with their life or it's a break up. "If you see me at midnight Walking the streets You'll know it was me for I cannot sleep" The one left behind is restless and can't stop thinking about the other one's leaving. "I've got this feeling things will be alright So go break a leg tonight" The person is trying to get over everything and wishing their friend the best of luck out in the world. "They're waiting for you" Now this line stumps me. I'm thinking that this is saying "You will meet new people, find someone else", etc... I know this probably isn't right, but I thought I'd give it a shot. |
