Lady A – Hello World Lyrics 16 years ago
I fixed the lyrics to match the lyrics posted on the band's homepage. I truly believe this is the best song Lady A has recorded to this date. Especially with all that's going on in the world, this is a rare BIG-MEANING song for them to record. Finding hope in today's world in the small things that can bring you joy, and put your trust and beliefs in whatever you believe in to help get you through.

Nickelback – Gotta Be Somebody Lyrics 17 years ago
Nickelback comes through again with an extremely catchy pop-rock song for the first single from the new CD, now entitled "Dark Horse". I have a couple slight modifications to the lyrics, however:

5th line of the chorus I believe it is:
'Cause nobody wants to go it on their own

2nd line of the 2nd verse:
And damn it, this feels too right, it's just like deja vu.

2nd line of the bridge (or 3rd verse):
'Cause you could never know when it shows up make sure you're holding on.

Otherwise the lyrics are pretty much spot on from what I can tell. Another amazingly catchy song by a band that keeps putting out hit after hit.

Shinedown – Second Chance Lyrics 17 years ago
I've updated the lyrics to match what's in the liner notes from the CD. The saying goes bands typically release their best CDs on their third attempt (debuts are always good, sophomore efforts usually lack a little bit). This holds true for Shinedown. The Sound of Madness is their best CD to date... thanks mostly in part to this song, Devour, the Crow and the Butterfly, Breaking Inside, and Call Me. Hopefully these guys are coming to MN soon so I can check them out live!

Shinedown – Second Chance Lyrics 17 years ago
From what I've heard off the "The Sound of Madness" this song sounds like it'll be one of the best songs on the new CD by Shinedown, and one of their best ever. Brent mentioned this was one of the toughest songs he's ever written because it's about him saying goodbye to his parents... having to move on with his own life and become a man, to live out his dreams. Powerful song... deserves to be a monstrous hit for them.

Nickelback – Photograph Lyrics 20 years ago
Plus I can connect with the line about the first girl he kissed having two kids... a good friend of mine from high school who was never more than a friend, though I tried, has had a daughter since we graduated high school... and it looks as though she might be on her way to the altar with a friend of mine (not the father of her child). And I hadn't seen her since hs graduation 7 years ago, until I ran into her this past winter.

Nickelback – Photograph Lyrics 20 years ago
This is the full version of the song. There might be a radio edit floating around too... which cuts the first two lines of the second verse out (the part about the arcade and the cops). It also shortens the bridge to 2 lines instead of three (combining the first 2 lines into this:
I miss that town, I can't believe it,
So hard to stay, too hard to leave it.
I could relive those days.
I know the one thing that would never change.

Then it goes back into the chorus. Personally I hope radio doesn't chop off those parts... I'm sure I speak for many guys when I say I spent a lot of time in my childhood in an arcade... can't say I got in much trouble... but this story makes me think back to simpler times... when all you cared about were video games, cartoons, your friends, and good food (and homework at some times). This is about Chad and his friends growing up in their hometown... they actually went back to their hometown and shot the video in their old high school.

3 Doors Down – The Real Life Lyrics 20 years ago
Well, first off I can't believe no one's commented on the best song from Seventeen Days, which has become Brad's favorite 3DD song. I've heard Brad describe this song as the answer to all of the questions that "Away From the Sun" presented, which used to be his favorite 3DD song.

For me this song really hits home with my current situation. I think it means that he was in a place where he didn't know where he was going (described in Away From the Sun) but that Brad's decided to look inward, find himself, ignore all the crap that other people say, and face his fears head on. It's a very powerful song... this song and "Behind Those Eyes" are my two favorites from Seventeen Days.

Default – Count On Me Lyrics 20 years ago
I truly love this song... it's instantly become one of my favorite songs right now, and I've only known about it for a week. I can relate to this song in both ways... both from Dallas's perspective writing to his friend that he'll always be there, and from the friend's perspective. From that perspective, it's sort of akin to Metallica's "Fade to Black"... it can be a song of hope to those who are lost in this world with nowhere to turn. Just an amazing song... can't wait for the new CD!
