wow, so different opinions and meanings...i ve never thought of those meanings, since i can only find this song the meaning which im closer to and which fits exactly to the lyrics...bulimia, or anorexia, but mostly bulimia. " for that second chance,for a break that would make it okay" "beautiful release", see cause once you have eaten and you feel terrible about it its the only way to go back, to feel fine again, and once you vomit you feel wonderfulll its really a second chance and a beautiful release LET ME BE EMPTY AN WEIGHTLESS AND MAYBE ILL FIND SOME PEACE TONIGHT. its jsut one of my favourites, this song express just exactly what it feel to be bulimic or anorexic... "and everywhere you turn,there's vultures and thieves at your back", it is just like that, you can never be in peace, you walk fearing and thinking waht people are thinking of you, or that people that surounds you wants to get you fat cause they want you to be horrible... "you keep on building the lie,that you make up for all that you lack" just doesnt need an explanation, you got to lie constantly to reach that perfectness you lack. "it don't make no difference, escaping one last time" this song its just great, that what you think when you re fighting with your head wether to go to the bathroom or not.. but this part is really the best: "it's EASIER to believe in this sweet madness oh this glorious sadness that BRING ME TO MY KNEES" cause it is like that, me and a lot others prefer to believe in this, that bingin its fine, cause like that you can live happilly, without suffering, without thinking how bad what you re doing is, how spoiled you are anda that you really should get help. you prefer to think this is great, fine and really the best option, its easier, anda thats exactly what happens to me, cause if i would decide to battle against my eating disorder.. wow that would be really difficult, but i like it this way, or that is what i prefer to believe (it easier he:P).i love how she plays with antagonistic words GLORIOUS SADNESS, SWEET MADNESS, its EXACTLY how ed feels. oh and the part THAT BRINGS ME TO MY KNEES!!! cant be talking about anything but vomiting to me!! Of course the angel would be bulimia,anorexia cause really in our minds we really find some comfort in their arms. ps: also 'mia' and 'ana' are frequently named as angels by pro ed, cause angels are like perfection, so it definetely talks about this for me. |
