| Widespread Panic – Give Lyrics | 20 years ago |
written by Todd about escalating issues with the band in regards to "using" getting out of control. The boys use to say they were their own self cleaning oven. This song was written to get that pre-bake up to about 350 deg. |

Not quite. Mikey wrote it but initially wrote it with JB's name (John) instead of his. JB sings it but couldn't sing his own name, thus changed it to Michael. Larry was Panic's old roady from way back. Tuesday was/is Mike's wife's (Barbette) nickname. When Mikey was alive it was almost never played other than a Tuesday show, it hasn't been performed by panic since his passing. RIP - Houser !! |

| Widespread Panic – Don't Tell The Band Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Penned by Michael Houser this song was brought on because panic's management (browncat) we're making decisions they weren't normally use to making "on their own". The boys assured them in their position and gave them free reign over what they thought was in the best interest of the band and its future. Houser plays on a few different era's of bands that were far from being in the loop. From the Civil War to the Titanic to the future rapture period. |

| Widespread Panic – Climb To Safety Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This song is about overcoming heroin addiction. Written by Jerry Joseph who is a recovering heroin addict, singer/songwriter & panics great friend. He overcame heroin without the use of REHAB, so to speak. Cold turkey. Now read the lyrics again and imagine how he must have been feeling at this point in his life . . .mmmm? Edit: Lyric Errors as it grinds to where it began (as he grinds through every gear) you find the bed (paint) is peelin' your (reflective) skin is fallin' off your bones baby we can walk on water (can fVck for money) JJ Lyric/Censored by JB like some junkies swore they did (the junkies always did) |
