| ya, ive read all of these comments. this song best describes me. since living in a small town(8,000 people), there aren't many people who listen to my music, or dress the way I do, or just cuz im different from them, im shut out. Im 16 and suprisingly ive made it this far. I have listened to many songs b4, all describe me in different ways, i listen to GC, who cares, Hold On helped me greatly, ive tried to commit suicide many times b4, jut not like other people have. i dont cut my wrists, i just piss people off, hoping they'll shoot me or soemthing, or stand in traffic and try and get hit. ya my parents dont give a fuck, my freidns dont either. and right now like their new song Farewell My Hell, its great, describes me perfectly. my lifes a living hell, im used to get back at people, wehn i think ive found someone, im used to get to my friends, i picked on at school, im shut out of all the activities. and ya suicide is actually comforting to me. life is shit, we all know that, but right now there is nothing to help em stop myself, suually there is, but right now there isnt. ay,. why im spilling this out to people i dont even know. this world is cruel and theres nothing we can do about it, this is a way for people to express themselves, through music, but still no matter how many meetings schools have or presentations there are on bullying and suicde at schools, it happenes around the world all the time. i think the ratio is every 10 minutes someone commits suicide, whic is very sad. we give people rason to kill themselves, lets stop it, dont like the perosn? then dont fucking talk to them. | |

| like M.I.A and Sieze the Day, this is up on my favorites list. I have been in a fight with my best friend and this perfectly described how i felt at the time. I wouldn't listen to him so he was just wasting his f*cking breath. its just perfect, they should use it in a mvoie for a fight scene, lol | |

Ok, ya. i agree with you about it being about someone you love. I personally think its about seizing the day your living, to live life to its fullest, for you don't know what surprises lay in front of you, like losing someone. like "sieze the day, or die regreting the time you've lost..." like that right there says a lot. "I found you here, now please just stay for a while I can move on with you around I hand you my mortal life, but will it be forever?" like that there reminds me of me right now. I've gone through a tough time lately (my girlfriend and i broke up after 5 years). I can't live without her right now and its tearing me apart. she's eben so depressed lately so "I'd do anything for a smile, holding you 'til our time is done, We both know the day will come, but I don't want to leave you" is what i'm doing right now. Sieze the day might be about just someone (doens't have to be about the band members) that broke up, or lost someone close to them. and the part "So, what if I never hold you, or kiss you lips again? I never want to leave you and the memories for us to see, I beg don't leave me" helps my statement above, like they lost the eprosn and they might never get them back. i love the verse "Trails in life, questions of us existing here, don't wanna die alone without you there, Please tell me what we have is real" it is perfect, the trials in our lives actually make us question, "why are we here?" sorry for such a long statement, but this is personally my favorite song on the album, along with M.I.A. |

ok, ive read all these, i'm a new user on this site and well ya... for one i have listened to this song more than any other song in my life, i repeat this song over and over, know it word for word. I agree with all of you somewhat. dunndidit is right, thats a far strech, it is about modern day war in general i think. Like someone said, M.I.A was not a term used in the medieval ages ok, so that ebing the crusades, so knowing that, it smodern day war, probably about the War in Iraq. I totaly agree with dunndidit 100% |

| Ok, ya. its true that he burst something in his throat. He can still sing, but if he screams like he ahs on the other albums he will need to go in for surgery. This surgery will cost him his singng career, wont make it any better, just alow him to talk. So thats the anser to your question on why he doesnt scream. Personally, I like this album the best, but im not a huge fan on screaming so thats my opinion. | |
