To me this song is about someone losing all courage and strength in themselves. They've tried so hard to remain strong through everything they've been put through but they can't cope anymore. "And the tears come streaming down your face, When you lose something you can't replace. When you love someone, but it goes to waste... Could it be worse?" This bit definitely sounds like someone dieing because you love the person that you've lost, but it's too late to show just how much because they're gone and nothing will ever replace them. It could however, be about love. "Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you" I now you're lost now, but you will be guided home and you will feel warm and loved again... And even if you can't fully recover, I will try to be there for you and make you feel better... "But if you never try you'll never know Just what you're worth" If you don't try to be happy again, you'll never know how much you can do. He's basically just saying how much he believes in her. The rest is just too beautiful to explain... I cry every time I hear this song, and I just... Well, it relates so much it hurts. Amazing... |

In my opinion this song is about being in a hard relationship with someone who you love very much, but you know that it can never work... "In pitch dark, I go walking in your landscape, Broken branches trip me as I speak." I trust you and try to get to know you better, but things are always getting in the way and making it hard for me. "Just 'cause you feel it, doesn't mean it's there." Just because I can feel the love for you, it doesn't mean it's there...you might not love me too. "There's always a siren, Singing you to shipwreck" There's always something there, trying to get in the way. Always something trying to hurt you. Always something stopping us from being together. "Don't reach out, don't reach out." Don't reach out to the things trying to hurt you. "Steer away from these rocks, We'd be a walking disaster." Steer away from this relationship, you and me would be a disaster. "Why so green and lonely?" Why are you so jealous and on your own, I could be there for you. "Heaven sent you to me."
