Here's how i interpreted it, and the meaning came to me without really trying to think about it. I was listening to US metal by some new bands and thinking that it was gettin a bit ridiculous, in that they're not 'REAL' rock n roll stars they're just kids with guitars. then i thought maybe thats what gorillaz are referring to with 'guns' instead of 'guitars'. They don't know how to handle them, and they're young and ignorant. They just 'want' the rock n roll lifestyle 'sex, drugs etc.' Hence "It's all desire" Just my thoughts :) |
