I reckon that this is a beautiful song. I think it's about this person who is paranoid and concious over the fact that s/he is so closely connected to the other person that s/he is obsessed by this situation. this person loves to be lead and used. it's like sitting on the fence, the person could run.. but no.. the person could stay forever but s/he has doubts.. so it's a middle ground. and we all know that middle grounds are shaky and 'freaky'.
"I'm in love with my doubt and it's freaking me out" --pure genius
how they used the word freak is pure art. love this song. love copeland. |

Anyone seen the Rockerfella video? *swoon* Johnny is amazing. Anyway, back to the song. It's absolutely lovely. Totally different from their previous songs so I don't think that's too bad. It does have a great religious/karma feel to it but I guess they were aiming it towards the bad situations that have been happening around the world n xmas season. So the song? it's good, but not great. some other songs from the goo are WAY better.
but i still heart the goo. so this song is a must have, and shud only be let out on special occassions. |

hmm, I liked the song when I first heard it. I guess it's about letting out your aspirations and following your heart kinda stuff... a bit cheesey when you actually pay attention to the lyrics however, it's still a great song |

I heart this song, especially on the Live 2004 DVD.. wOOt... that was friggen awesome. Lol, the video clip is so old that John had shoulder length hair.
What does this sone mean to me? Well, this is my first interpretation so sorry if I'm a bit rough. I reckon it's about a him/her who is trying to find him/herself. I'm sure someone has already said this but yeah.. I think it's about someone trying to rediscover his/herself so s/he can fit into this messed up world. Maybe when they were younger they had aspirations to be famous or heroic, (didn't we all?) and something impacted on them so greatly that all that hope and openess to love has been repressed to get though this day and age. Meh..
