great song, i love it, i actually only heard the smoking popes version. it's about a relationship growing worse. the girl obviously is losing interest or acting differently. the guy doesn't want anything to change and begs the girl to go back to the way things used to be in the relationship, because at first the relationship was amazing. so easy to relate to. |

this is one of my very favorite used songs. it is the most beautiful song ive ever heard, i really love it. everytime i hear it i get chills, it is that amazing. just really.. wow. the used are wonderful. what i get from it is that it's about feeling empty and wondering where your life is going. its about wanting something in your life to feel complete, but not really knowing what it is that you want, or why you are feeling empty. its hard to write down what im thinking, but its in my mind perfectly. but really, i cant get over how amazing and incredible this song is, especially: "without it all, i'm choking on nothing it's clear in my head, and i'm screaming for something knowing nothing is better than knowing it all" quite possibly the greatest lyrics ever written. just wow. |

this song is amazing. the line "i love you even though it isn't fair" is..wow. perfect. this song is absolutely perfect for my last breakup, its actually kind of creepy how right every line is. but then again thats just the used. okay, what i think it means: this girl is hurting him over and over and taking back her feelings, but then she just keeps going back to him giving him her love again, only to hurt him again. its an ongoing cycle. he keeps letting her do this even though it's hurting him and he knows he shouldn't allow her to keep playing games with him. and despite everything that she does to him he still loves her and it isn't fair. |

wow never thought about the coke thing before, but the more i read the lyrics, the more it makes sense. "And I don't dream since I quit sleeping And I haven't slept since I met you " i always thought that line was the sweetest thing but now i think it could also mean he doesnt sleep because of the coke and ever since he met this girl he cant stop doing coke because of how much she hurts him. great song. |

the whole taking advantage of someone he loved who was broken hearted, thing makes sense. but what about the lines: "Up with it came our pain and fear that we'd already lost each other We both knew that the end was near "? to me that makes it seem as though they werent just friends, they were dating but they were fading apart and both knew it but didnt want it to happen. so taking that into consideration i think it could also mean: matt and some girl were dating, and he was breaking her heart with things he said and did. he set aside the fact that she was broken hearted, though, and kept doing things with her. because of this they started fading apart and she broke up with him and he's now saying that if he hadnt ignored the fact that he was hurting her they could still be together. hm that sounded stupid when i wrote it down but it makes sense in my mind. |

i think anyone can relate to this song. to me it's about memories after a break up, remembering everything and about how much you meant to the other person and how much they meant to you. "Would I trade it all again to get you out of my head?" thats one of my favorite lines. this song is so easy to relate to, its amazing. |
