I remember that this is the first song that I listened to with my ex boyfriend ... and it was his idea to play it. It was for me, but he was subtle about it. We had a lot of "songs" if you will, but this is the one song that I always refrain back to when I think about him. I cant think about it without hurting, and everytime I hear this song ... no matter how much I fight it I start crying. This song is beautiful. |

For his entire life, Pink was confused, alone, and always trying to understand everything. He was alone as an only child, with no father, few friends and his (from what I understood/saw in the video) neglectful mother. From all of his experiences, from what he was told and from what his mom told him...he built a wall. Every little aspect of his life affected him and made him crazy in the worst way possible. Everything finally caught up with him and he had to face it all. His mom was definately over protective. And as for his wife... Subconciously when you are looking for a partner, you look for qualities in them that your parents have displayed. (If your a girl it was your father or another male figure in you life, and if your a guy it was your mom or a female figure in your life.) When Pink met his wife, he saw qualities his mom had in her, and maybe he thought that if he could fix a relationship with his wife, or have a successful relationship with her...it would give him some sort of satisfaction or understanding about his mother and the relationship they had. Is anybody understanding this? I can so relate this song to my mom in some ways.

I love this song. It's awesome. It's hard enough to love someone that might not love or like you back because your not perfect in their eyes, or your a little bit different (not always in a bad way), but it's great that you can look at the situation and be so confident about getting them to want to be with you and then telling them to go to hell when they turn you down. I love it. Even though it's not the happiest topic, this song is kick ass and edgy and it always gets me moving. |

Love is pain, and even if it was nice while it lasted, it hurts when it's over and you can't let go. This song expresses that, and is one of the best songs I have ever heard that does that. I think that hes talking about a girl that he loves to a point where he is obsessed even though he isn't technically with her. He pretty much stalks her. And when he realizes that he can never have her, he doesn't know what to do or how to take it. Which implies to the lines "Shes the only one that makes me sad" and "I dont know what to do when she makes me sad" in Vermillion Part 2. Because he cant have her, he cant make her real. This song is very dark, but I love it anyway. The high energy guitar, and Corey's vocals are awesome. Right after hearing this you must hear Vermillion Part 2. Both are amazing songs.

This song is amazing. I think that Robert Smith (Frontman of The Cure) was an awesome addition. Everytime I hear this song it makes me sad. Although it is beautiful, has a great beat and what not, the message is sad. The guy is with one girl yet he loves another. That is horrible. I mean, imagine how the girl he is with feels. But I love the "Use me Holly, come on and use me" part. Awesome song.
Congrats to Travis Barker for knocking Shanna Barker (his wife) up again. I hope this baby is almost as cute as Landon. :) |

This song is amazing. The version by Blue Oyster Cult was a great song, but I like this cover version better. The version by Blue Oyster Cult it way too fast, thus it looses its meaning and depth. This version slows it down so you can understand each part of the song. You can feel the emotion through Ville's voice. So powerful. Love it.

This song is one of my favorites by HIM. They always do wicked awesome covers. This song is about the trials and tribulations of love. How you want the person but you dont want to get hurt. How your scared to love because you dont know if you will be loved in return and all of that stuff. And in the end when he says "Nobody loves no one," it's a double negative that translates into everybody loves someone.
Ville Valo has a great voice, great talent for writing songs about love, understands everything about love, has the body of a God and is Finnish for sex on toast. Yeah, he's my messiah. |
