Going along with what Koshh said, I believe MM is trying to epxress that some people need to stop trying to fix every problem by talking it out, and start beating some ass.

I can't decide whether or not he is addresing enemy nations nowadays, or just enemies in general. Anyways, he definately believes that being a diplomat to an enemy is purely stupid.

Despite the fiercely heated conversation between Philadelphia and the world of Manson (which has proven to be highly entertaining), I felt the need to interpret the entire album.
My interpretation of the album is about the main character, the Worm, and the tale of him destroying the world.
The Worm is deeply enamored with a rock star, who I believe is the equivelant of MM. The only reason the Worm decides to get out of bed each morning is to listen to this rockstar's music. One day the Worm goes to a concert of the rockstar. After the concert he goes back stage and meets the rockstar. The rockstar tells him to fuck off. The Worm starts to go insane and hate life. Little Horn, a name for the Anti-Christ, grows inside of the Worm. Little Horn grows inside of the Worm before finally unleashing himself and destroying Earth. The Worm realizes what has happened and his situation actually becomes worse. |

I think Yournewgod needs to stop slobbering on his mother's tit and read what he just stated. There are countless errors in his statement. And for the record, I am a LaVeyan Satanist, and I have read the Satanic Bible many times. And nowhere in the Satanic Bible does LaVey state that he is trying to lure people into Christianity. And any person who has enough time to play a song backwords looking for fake back maskings to make themselves look smart is only actually making themselves look stupid. And stupidity is the biggest sin of Satanism. So are you saying that right now if i go rape a little boy, that it won't be my fault, but rather my parents? Sounds like a good idea, but it doesn't work like that. The teens who did the shootings are the only ones to blame. I can share their troubles with being disgraced in school...and I admit that is fucking hard, but they did the right thing. It's not only the "preps" who make fun of everybody. But the boys made the right decision to end their lives. And what is this shit about blaming their actions on the rockstars? Ok...so a rockstar is somehow related to the shootings? How so? OH is it because the rockstar gave the teens violent ideas? hm..maybe we should just hide our teens from every violent peice of media in the world, because there is ample amounts of violent media out there, not just in music. As freakishfae said, MM wrote this song while in a hotel room watching T.V. Not only is this song criticizing Christianity and "hypocritical America slobbering on the tit of Christianity", but I also think MM used this song to reinforce his theory that everybody has a good and evil side. For example, the lyric "yeah, right, great if you're so good explain the shit stains on your face" suggests how the televangelist preaches morals and the evils in this world, but after the show he practices the things he preached against. So not only is he hypocritical, he also has an evil side in addition to his good side. Ka-Boom! |

Like freakishfae mentioned, this song is about couches being wrapped in plastic with the mindset that the dirt will be kept off the couch. Metaphorically, i believe MM is conveying the message of how families behave: the parents will dress and pamper their kids to look like perfect little school children. Yet as the kids look perfect, their "perfect" family has several problems, all hidden by the "plastic" coveralls on the kids. Or something along those lines. |
