I never thought the hypnotherapist killed Nick. I thought Nick was still in his memories, and he only thought he'd awakened. |

| Pain of Salvation – King Of Loss Lyrics

I think this song is about how He was never good enough, neither for himself or his mother. On some level, he both despises and loves her, declaring that she is the one who could make him a king or kill him. When he says "Long live the dying king!" I shiver. |

This song reminds me a lot of me and my best friend. It's very touching, but I think it would make more sense lyrically and I'd like it better if it went "Watch her dance/watch him dance/ watch them dance" instead of "Watch them dance/watch her dance/watch him dance/". |

| Trans-Siberian Orchestra – Mephistopheles Lyrics

This song gives me chills. It's about the futility of life, and when you die you'll wish you had a second chance. The devil will give you that second chance...for a fee, of course. |

| Sonata Arctica – Broken Lyrics

This man has never quite fit in ("I grew up to be an unwanted weed"). He has also had many lives ("7 lives of a man passed before me") and as many loves ("7 graves, one for every love I had") but he only loved one of them ("Only once, I have broken my so-called heart"). Metaphorical or literal, who's to say? Anyway, he sacrificed himself for that one ("Held a torch for you when lightning stroke me") and paid dearly for it("hope I died for the last time").
He believes that he can only do harm ("Until I find a new life to ruin again), but still yearns for her love. However, she doesn't know all there is to know about him, and he's scared she won't love him if she does know. ("Got a sign, not a scar...", "I am not quite the man you take me for", "If only I could tell you everything...", etc."). Therefore, he wants to hurt her so he can prove that she loves him, but also to drive her away ("Show me that you care and have a cry") and in the end, accomplishes his objective and becomes a hardened, loveless shell. ("Bless this night with a tear, for I have none I fear.")
In other words, this song is very sad. |

| Sonata Arctica – The Power Of One Lyrics

This song, to me, is about a man who has done some horrible things ("Father, I have killed many angels") and is now going to kill himself out of remorse ("I think, I will now walk to the sea"). As he dies, he reflects on the meaninglessness of living and trying to be a good person ("In the world that we live in, the things said and done, they can well overrun the power of one"). The spoken part at the end tells us that he is hoping we learn from his mistake ("The keys that I grant thee, the Sacred Land, are dry desert sand on the palm of your hand") but also tells us that his words and actions are meaningless if we don't do our part ("Without the water, the wisdom of past, will run through your fingers, forgotten so fast"). Here, the 'sand' is ancient wisdom that society is based upon (the commandments and whatnot that make life more pleasant for everyone) and the 'water' is our actions. Finally, he's put so much into these last thoughts ("Thus now when I leave you, I am truly blind") that he can only hope that others know the same thing without going through what he did ("This blindness, this blessing, the hope of mankind."). |

| Sonata Arctica – Silver Tongue Lyrics

I think the whole album has a theme of loss. In this case, the singer ;oses his control over himself, as shown by the lines "I do feel stronger now, Why am I still here with you
You and your silver tongue, why do I still play with you". Also, at the end, "to you it´s all a game you play with me". |

Actually, when he says "life isn't gray", I think he means that there is joy in life. Though she was knocked up, betrayed, and dumped, it's still not too late for her to get her life together and make it happy. |

| Sonata Arctica – Letter To Dana Lyrics

Before I read the lyrics, I thought when he said "Dana O'Hara", he was saying "Dana, oh horror, decided one day
to travel away, faraway", as in it's horrible that she's gone and he can't imagine what it would be like to live without her. Coincidence? Hmm.... |

I just started getting into Kamelot, so I don't know much about them, but I enjoy their songs a lot. This one in particular. I listen to it whenever I'm feeling down. |
