Revis – Caught In The Rain Lyrics 19 years ago
It's when you're in a bad place, and someone comes along, and makes you see that things aren't as bad as they seem.
"When I was caught in the rain, you made me feel
You made me feel, made me feel"

Simple Plan – What's New Scooby Doo? Lyrics 20 years ago
See, the thing about Simple Plan is that they KNOW they play pop music. They did an interview on Fuse just before their latest album came out, and they said that's what they were doing- heavy pop. They aren't trying to be hardcore, and I doubt they’d ever want to discourage radio play. Simple Plan are writing music that they like, and have fun playing. Who knows? Maybe their next album will be a dark, punk-rawk anger-fest, with “deep” lyrics about death, violence, and depression. Probably not, but I still doubt that they’d get more respect from all of you “hardcore” people if they did. Oh, and as for their singer having a high voice- have you ever heard of a little band called AC/DC?

The Killers – Andy, You're a Star Lyrics 20 years ago
I like bono_212's view on this. I agree that the narrator is a stalker in this song, but not an intentional one. He admired Andy, and perhaps he and Andy were acquaintances, but the narrator thought they were way closer.
The line "In a car with a girl, promise me she's not your world" is undoubtedly from jealousy, perhaps with wanting Andy to spend more time with him.
Personally, when I hear this one, I always think of Andy from the Breakfast Club. *shrug*

Simple Plan – Shut Up Lyrics 20 years ago
No, Simple Plan may not be punk, but they still play some good, heavy pop tunes. They've admitted that they play pop. Who cares how the band dresses? At least they look like they're having fun doing it. As for those who call Simple Plan punk, they really should learn a thing or two about actual punk, instead of letting people tell them what's punk. (Note- when the 'haters' come out and say that this, that, or the other isn't punk, they're doing pretty much the same thing. Telling somebody what's punk or not kind of puts you at the same level as the record companies, don't you think?). This song is a good Simple Plan song, and I really enjoyed it before it got over-played on MTV and MTV Junior (a.k.a. Fuse). I don't think Simple Plan really had George Bush in mind when they wrote it, but they are certainly entitled to be mad about the war in Iraq. They're from Canada, which does border the United States. If we get blasted in nuclear war, they're probably going to catch a good bit of it. I'm sorry if it seems like I'm just trying to out-cool the people who are trying to out-cool the 'cool' people who are 'anti-establishment' because it is 'cool,' but that's all just kind of how I feel about it. I'm also sorry if that last sentence didn't make a whole lot of sense, but that's just how it is for the 'cool' people like me. *snort*

Courtney Love – Mono Lyrics 20 years ago
I think this song may very well reference Kurt Cobain. Lines like, "I slashed his tires, I bled his brakes," I think may be a sarcastic way for Courtney Love to talk about how everyone thinks she was responsible for Kurt's death. Whether she was responsible or not- I'm not getting into it- I guess is something only Courtney knows, huh? I really do think this song is one of Courtney's best.
