This is a brilliant song, end of. Like everyone else said, it's about a girl committing suicide, and her being "asleep" is actually her being, well, dead. I think that this is a great song, both lyrically and musically, and it really shows how they've grown (especially Tom, who wrote this one) since the happy go lucky vibe of the last album. |

I see that bit as a reflection of "It's Too Late" from the first album, but maybe that's just me. I love the change in this song, it's the whole "what if" theory, exploring both pathways so to speak, and going back to face your fate, which may not always turn out negative. |
