Kenny Chesney – Back Where I Come From Lyrics 17 years ago
i love this song, i haven't heard it in a couple years, but as soon as i saw it, i knew every word. i used to want to be in the city all the time, but as im getting older and think back on all the great times i had in the middle of nowhere, theres no place id rather be. i mean, where else can you walk from your house to the river in the middle of the night with no worries? or ride horses down the road? in my little town, everyone knows everyone else's business, but hey, at least you have people that care about you instead of total strangers, right?

Fall Out Boy – The Take Over, the Breaks Over Lyrics 17 years ago
I LOVE this song. I actually think it's a song to the "fans". It's calling them out like why didn't they support them between the FUCT and IOH.

Wouldn't you rather be a widow than a divorcee?
It's saying you know you'd rather have FOB completely drop off the charts than turn your back on them.

Fall Out Boy – This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race Lyrics 17 years ago
I just heard this song for the first time tonight. It's so different than anything on any of their previous albums but it's Fall Out Boy. Like, no matter how they grow and change, you can always pick them out of a crowd. Personally, I'm not positive if I love it yet, but I'm glad they took a chance and did something different, instead of making the same album over again. At least their trying, and you gotta give them credit.

Rise Against – Everchanging Lyrics 17 years ago
I had this song on my mp3 player but hadn't actually listened to. When I did I was in a truck full of people on my way to camp. I almost cried when I heard the words they meant so much to me. Last year I hated camp because it was our first year and we didn't know anything. We(my school's group) were reflecting the last night with our teacher and the four of us that had been before were crying and my teacher said it best, "Ya'll had more fun this year because you knew what to expect and you opened up and met new people. But it's sad because you know that when something doesn't feel new anymore it's closer to ending." I have two more years of camp left, I'm looking forward to making them the best yet.

Five for Fighting – Maybe I Lyrics 17 years ago
This may be my favorite FFF song. I has so much feeling and emotion. For me, it's about self discovery. Either through yourself and your own findings, or through another human.

I haven't listened to a FFF song in probably a year or so but I just heard they have a new album out now or soon? I saw their new video and I realized that FFF may have been my favorite band all along without realizing it. I love every single song of theirs. Every one has a strong meaning and emotion to it. I love Five for Fighting!

The Used – On My Own Lyrics 18 years ago
The Used is one of my favorite bands, but to tell the truth I never really LISTENED to this song for a while after I got the CD. I live in southern Louisiana, so we got hit pretty hard last August. Anyway, I'm sitting in the dark for the second week in a row after Katrina(no lights), and I track down some batteries to play my CD player(mp3 player was dead), and I'm listening to this CD, and On My Own comes on. I sit there listening to it and almost started crying because it made me think of all the people in New Orleans,"See all those people on the ground." Just not knowing if your friend is alive or not. I didn't find out for almost a month that a girl I knew had moved to Illinois, it's so hard to deal with. Where we live at wasn't considered as being hit hard, but I was out of school for a while and it took us a while to get down the roads for all the trees and powerlines. We waited in lines for gas and bread we couldn't afford because we couldn't work. We had this girl transfer to our school and someone knew her and asked her if she still lived in the same place, and she told us every house on her road was gone, as in flattened. This song just makes me think of all the people that had to wait to get out of New Orleans and away from death, hell, they had to watch out for damn alligators. There were SHARKS swimming outside of hotels. Could you imagine dealing with that? And while they were waiting to be rescued, the local, state, and federal governments just stood around and pointed fingers at each other instead of joining forces. All the "rumors" everyone heard that were denied, most were true, I know people who were there, I know someone who is still there, he's in the Army. A while back, TV was going on about the dead people they were still finding, he said there was no telling how many the military killed. They were told to shoot anyone with a weapon who threatened them, as long as they got the bullet out. Anyway, I now I got a little off track but I haven't really gotten a chance to rant, lol. Oh, and the people still getting to stay in a hotel for free, and are complaining about being kicked out, people are hiring EVERYWHERE. They need to get off their asses and get a job, hell maybe they can pay for destroying the rooms.Anyway, I love this song and I love this band. To me, this song represents all the people whose lives were taken by Katrina.

I love this song, I can listen to it all day, and it never gets old. It really hits home with me, I lost a friend recently, and this song makes me think of him, and others I've lost. It's amazing how a song can bring memories and keep someone alive in your heart.

Fall Out Boy – Sophomore Slump or Comeback of the Year Lyrics 19 years ago
This might be my favorite song on the album. It is just a fun song. My best friend and I have declared it 'our song' as we will be Sophomores this year. I love Fall Out Boy, they write loud, fun songs yet most have some deeper meaning. They are lyrical geniuses.

Garth Brooks – The Old Stuff Lyrics 19 years ago
The line "About The Buckboard, Bear Creek, Cowboys, and the Grizzly Rose" is wrong it is, "About the buckboard Bear Creek cowboys, and the Grizzly Rose." I'm serious when I say this, Bear Creek Western Store and Bear Creek Steak House are in Montpelier, Louisiana, I live about 5 miles down the road, and my mom works there. Back when Garth Brooks was just starting his career-and believe it or not, many country fans didn't like him too much-he used to perform at the Bear Creek Steak House and Saloon regularly. We have always had horses and such. I was little then so I wasn't in on it, but my parents and all their friends used to go to Bear Creek in wagons, watch the show, and then camp out that night and pull home the next day. That's where the buckboard Bear Creek cowboys comes from. The woman who owns the western store also owned the steakhouse at that time and is still good friends with Garth. Oh, and by the way, this is one of my favorite songs!

George Strait – I Can Still Make Cheyenne Lyrics 19 years ago
I can't believe nobody has posted on this song! This is one of my favorite George Strait songs. It is exactly how a cowboy's mind works. His job is rodeo, if he has nothing to go home to, he may as well hit another rodeo to make some more money.
