Apparently about love and when it goes bad. Fires raging, hell is here, "hair and bone and Maybelline" conjures an image of a bullimic fan of cosmetics. "Bad vibes from love on the side" might be the issues in a partnership when one part becomes unfaithful, but confiding seems to be a decent thing even it it doesn't heal the bleeding. The rest of the second stanza is about lack of reflection (mirrors, eyes) and action (tied hands). The Kennedy curse is an interesting one, does it mean that one can't get rid of love? Or that it hurts, injures, even "kills", over and over? The victim role, painting over mistakes but not being able to completely cure it if the foundation had been a fake is other issues in partnerships. So all in all I think it's about when love has lost its guarantee, not generally but in a particular relationship. Once you lose it you get the issues he counts in the song. Or you lose it when you have those issues, whichever way you prefer. "Your one shot to where you are" to me is the chance to make love happen in a relationship that supposedly already has it. Thus to where you are. |

The song is clearly about how girls ca just move on when they get bored by a guy. Or his scene or his football friends for that matter. What's nice about the song is how it's not just accusing girls but indirectly also critizises he guys as well. "You can make him like you" and "there's always other boys" imply that all girls have to do to get some guy is to press the magic button and that easily they get their new boyfriend. It's got a great tune and really raises the roof live. |

Can't be the rape scenario as in the first stanza it's "WE were spitting venom". To me it's about a non-love relationship, a to a certain degree deep friendship with the other person being very unforgiving and resentful (the whole "let it drop"/"let it fall off" thing), and turning to make a competition out of this friendship: "I didn't know you kept track I didn't know there was a score well it looks like you're the winner and I aint gonna play no more" "you can say what you want but don't act like you care it takes more than one person to decide what's fair" When you know your (now former) friend is not caring for you anymore and is taking him/herself too seriously, thinking he/she is the ultimate judge of everything. |

All you got to do is leave. Describing quite accurately my moving from one end of the country to the other, a few months ago. Plus it's got a great tune to it, as so often with Caesars... |

I really like this song, but still I don't go along with its message. It made me think of all the things I actually can make happen. And if it just makes a difference to me, it's enough, isn't it? Only if we don't do anything, nothing ever happens. That's what I took from this song. |

The song rocked me about the second time I listened to the album. To me it's about how "big" the future is, and that it's already happening. How megalomanic and yet anonymous ("Does anybody know you?/Can anybody please you?") it is. |
