well since nobody's commented on this yet.. i'll just say that they obviously don't seem to be speaking positiveky about americans.. it's pretty much saying we're spoiled "your daddy's car".. and that we're ignorant "happy when your eyes are closed".. "salt the slugs, keep at bay" could be a war reference.. b/c when you put salt on slugs they shrivel up n die.. so they're probably thinking that we just start wars overseas for no reason.. while we just sit at home layed back stirring up unneccessary problems.. personally im insulted but i love bloc party so it's ok.. i dk what the last two lines mean but that's the best i can do.. |
