I agree w/ rizo, definitely a boyfriend killing a girlfriend sort of thing. I think he's trying to make them believe that he didn't do it and then he accidentally slips out little details. "I know my rights, I've been here all day and it's time For me to go, so let me know if it's alright I just can't take this, I swear I told you the truth" that part is him attempting to convince them and himself that he's innocent but then he slips up and says: "She couldn't scream while I held I close I swore I'd never let her go" which to me gives off the vibe that she didn't want to be w/ him and he didn't want to admit that they were over. Great song though. Definitly a fav. |

| I can't picture Brandon being gay or bi. I think it's more like a couple have said, a friend. Andy's an athlete who doesn't seem to want to be friends w/ Brandon or the character and he's upset by this. Maybe they were friends but went their separate ways in hs and now Brandon still wants to be friends, but Andy is too "cool" to hang out w/ him. So Brandon is stalking him and upset by the fact that this girl is getting more attention then he is. But that's just my take on it all. | |

Now, if you think about all of their songs are seemingly about love, but alot throw a little hate, jealousy, anger, and even murder in a few. then their name is the Killers so why not? wow *shivers* even if his songs are about those things, he oddly enough sings them so that right then and there you're ready to jump in bed w/ him. Hey DMB84! I went to a concert in detroit and they ended w/ that! Was it the Honda Civic tour and if so, wasn't that concert AWESOME!! The song is amazing, it's one of my favorites. I agree w/ pretty much anyone in saying that he's in a relationship and he keeps hurting this girl on accident. He doesn't know why he keeps doing it, but no matter what, he keeps hurting her. I think he's saying they should just get away from each other because their relationship is obviously unhealthy and he doesn't want to keep hurting her. |

| i actually read somewhere that this song is about his friend's messed up relationship. I guess he was in love with his girlfriend's mom. Weird I know. But have you seen the music video? It really explains it. By the way, I LOVE MAROON 5! They're my fav. I saw them in concert in Detroit and it was so amazing! I got like 20 ft away from the stage when my friend and I ran over. *sigh* it was the happiest 2 hours of my life.
