Following up from Wookiekiller, you might want to try some of their earlier albums when Hillel Slovak was their guitarist and Jack Irons was their drummer. Deffinately get their cover of 'If You Want Me To Stay' from the Frreaky Styley album!
These early albums are very different from their current (and amazing) song styles so they'll probably only be of interest of you if ya wanna hear how they started out and stuff.

This song sounds like is belongs on the Foo Fighter's first self-titles album (well, Dave Grohl's album but you know what i mean). As far as i know it was on the Breakout single tho.
I also reakon that they should more songs like this, it makes me wanna spin around lots and then go and kick over a box of cornflakes, along with other destructive acts.
The theme of it being about Jesus works in my opinion, especially the last two verses of how jesus was crucified and when they went to inspect the corpse it had vanished. Kudos to the Foo Fighters!!! |

I have to agree with 'Magnolia Fan', it's not the chili pepper's style to mock other bands and when you think about how Kurt Cobain and Anthiny Kiedis were friends, why would he want to make fun of Nirvana?
Admittedly the video does look way too funny for a tribute piece but it still has good intentions all round methinks. :D
p.s. Does anyone know who the first band they inpersonate are? It's the one where Anthony looks a bit like the fonz... |

VERY catchy song, had me singing it all around my house five minutes after watching the video on tv.
Like everyone knows, about the women of Anthony's life and im guessing about how strong-willed they were especially during Anthony's time with drugs.
Just read Scar Tissue to find out how they cared and looked out for him during his worst moments.

I was playing the lyrics to this song over in my head the other day and i reakon its all about the after life and being reborn inot the world again once he dies. It sounds like he's talking to his partner and saying that he'll meet up with her again in his next life (I will begin again, But I can't start until I've seen you end) so that they can re-live their life together again. a long shot perhaps but it kinda makes sense to me. :D |

How come this song hasn't had more post??? Its my fav U2 song of all time and its a great song to put on when you've got a hangover and your lying in bed (doesnt really capture the meaning or mood of the song but dammit i like to get drunk lots!) A beautiful song tho and i seriously urge everyone to listen to it - not sure what the blue room is a symbol of, maybe its a place in your mind or something? |

Methinks the guitar riff in this song is muchas catchy especially after the opening verse when the drums and bass kick in. I reakon the Foo Fighters still have more albums to come despite some people's bleak view of this album (i think it's their second best, after There Is Nothing Left To Lose) |
