this song is about two people ( judging by who wrote the song definetly women) having sex. AnnErocKs is right. If "I've got you inside me what do you care if you want to you should pay if you want to go down" doesn't give it away your a loser who doesn't understand music and has no life. toodles |

im in love with this right now. "oh come on sun why must i burn?" i think we've all had those mornings where we are just like what the fuck is happening to my life right now.
im having hard time placing the meaning of this song because she says she lives and she learns and then she says that she didnt learn anything and she doesnt know what she learned. so what is she really saying?
and does anyone know if she has a drinking problem? |

i think everyone is kind of hitting on what it means. i think for a while there she's talking directly to love and telling it what a bitch and gift it is. "you hit me really hard" she's speaking to love here. love can be really violent. but in a good way. the term punch drunk love comes to mind when i hear this song. beautiful lyrics beautiful voice. |

I dont think this is a song about love at all. i think its a song about life and what we do to occupy our time before we die and michael's prop just happens to be music. and most songs are about love so in a way he's making fun of love songs. when i first heard it i thought it was more about the government giving us props to occupy our time but over time i see that its more philosophical than that. |

he's talking to himself. this is what its like to not be happy with yourself. after he eats he looks in the mirror and he says i know you hate but i'll ask anyway. he hates himself. this a inner dialogue. |

to me this song represents being in the middle of fixing a problem with your ex. and althought you desperately need to fix the problem you cant help giving in to the attraction you feel for them. so this song is about when you do give in and fall into bed with them, in the morning, the issue is still not resolved and you would rather die than stay there another minute to fix it. its about being torn. |

i think that an abusive relationship is possible but i think that maybe this is a song from a womans perspective about being the other woman in a affair. "you wash my trace from your skin and you leave again"
We're nothing like friends,
You have no time to lend,
And if you're guilt then I'm the shame,
And if i'm hurt then you're the blame
just a thought. |

the truth is there is no truth and there is no way girls are supposed to be. the song is an allusion to, like stardust said, what the media and even our parents tell us (girls) how we are supposed to be and how we're supposed to act. "Get laid, get it over" the first time for a girl is supposed to be painful, "putting on the trousers" its about all the roles girl play in a society but really dont make an impact. |
