First I would like to add a completely different view of the song... I could be completely wrong, but suit yourself. I think it is about this guy breaking up with a girl because he knows that they aren't in love and he has caught her cheating! "notch in your bedpost and line in a song" "sleeping for the wrong team" both show they have little emotion towards each other. also "I'm watching you two from the closet" is where he catches her cheating. "We're going down in a earlier round" references their early break-up, cuz he is breaking up with her and usually she is the one breaking off her relationships this also links with other lyrics "I'll be your number one with a bullet" sounds like he will be the first guy to shoot her down instead of her breaking the guys hearts... hence the notches in her bedpost and the "more than you bargained for yet" so she is "going down swinging". "god complex" shows her arrogance and how she can't believe that someone would ever break up with her. cuz she thinks of herself as a god. well thats what I have... feel free to bash or commend my comments, regardless it's a great song... |
