This song reminds me of an athlete's struggles to become better and more effective than the other men out there on the field. (And rightfully so, since it is on the Madden 07 soundtrack.) Here is my analysis: - The lungs/heart/legs/capillaries/body are all used to show fatigue and the willingness to go on even when the body has had more than it can take. - The constant use of "you" is in reference to the person who is out of breath and energy, and is in my opinion, a person having an internal conflict with themself to keep trying and keep pushing. "Breathe, don't you want to breathe!?" |

Learned about this song because it's on the Madden 07 soundtrack... One of my favorites, and one of the few I have checked to play on the playlist on there. Excellent vocals... Excellent overall. Fantastic song! |

Is it just me, or does the chorus part kind of sound more like: "Singin' Nooooo, ooooo, ooooooooooooooooo" ? |

Shouldn't the first line be: "What if there was no life Nothing wrong, nothing right." Because in this case, what would "light" have to do with wrong and right? Life is what gives us the ability to reason between wrong and right, and so putting "life" in place of "light" makes much more sense ... listen to the way he says it, it even sounds like "life". |
