She's the lady that sings in this song..she also plays the fiddle. I love this song, it was the first song I forced on people who didn't like phish to convert them. It didn't work, but I think they're deaf |

I was so going to say that! But I thought it was far fetched, but just for the sake of argument and places like songmeanings.net, if you set out listening to this song thinking "this person has a bad addiction to drugs and wants to stop but can't" then it makes alot of sense. ORRR it's totally not about drugs at all and we have predictable phish fan minds |

Bradley Nowell said that he was at the riots, and wrote this song about them-yet his family and friends deny that he took part in them. I wonder if he was being a poser... |

I wonder if they like..just sat around listening to the song for a really long time and someone observed that "the moment ends" sounds like "the moma dance" so they named it that...and I wonder if everyone else already figured that out before me and I'm just really behind the times |

| Jack Johnson – Just Can't Go To Sleep Lyrics

I clicked on this song because I love it, and only four people talked about it but I was reading the lyrics again and thinking maybe there's a deeper symbolism or something. Like it's not really about sleeping, but just about not seeing what's in front of you in the world. I love the lines "I'm so afraid if I close my eyes I just won't see what's outside" because it's like he's so interested and captivated by the world that he doesn't want to miss a moment of it |

This song is saying that people try to make you fit in by keeping you around for a specific purpose, to entertain them or to have company. "It's not an experience if they can't bring someone along They hang on emotions they bottle inside They peck at the ground And strut out of stride" is pointing out the ridiculousness of it all..the fact that people need other people around to validate their good time. At the same time, it's something we all do and is probably human nature. |

Even though this song is phenomenal without a meaning, I was just curious...what are those crazy boys talking about? |

I have to agree with everyone that said that this song is about sex...and if it's not about it, it just makes you want to do it.......and then maybe cry your eyes out |

hahaha I was going to say that this just has to be one of those songs that only the people who wrote it understand...but that whole terrorist thing, yeah I'm going with that now. That has to be one of the most classic interpretations ever |

This song was one of the few that had a music video, you might've missed it though because no one gave it any air play (Beavis and Butthead turned it off after two seconds). bjengles3 is right, Tom Marshall wrote it and he has said in interviews that he wrote it about when he had mono...I like to think it has a deeper meaning than that, though |

The rumor I heard was that Trey was hanging out with some Italian guy when they were in Italy, when they said goodbye the guy said to them "When I'm with you, you enjoy myself" Could be wrong though |
