I pretty much agree that it's when you're trying to replace someone you're not quite over yet. I like when he says it "felt like [he] was with a boy." To me, that means he felt like he was submissive to her, that she had all the control. |

Yes, Johnny stole Joey's girl. Yes, the song is about that. But Johnny was hardly a KKK member. The reason he used the KKK reference is because Joey and Johnny were divided politically (Joey was liberal, Johnny a lifelong conservative). If the situation was reversed, and Johnny wrote the song, I wouldn't be suprised if the song was the USSR Took My Baby Away. That doesn't mean that Joey was a communist. I haven't seen End of the Century yet, but I'm sure whoever said that was saying it with his tongue firmly in his cheek. |

I think it could be about that girl you're with when you're getting smashed and you feel like you could be in love with her, even though it's probably just the alcohol. You want to be with her and do wild things with her, and you feel like she's the only thing you'll ever need.
"What in the hell did she do to me?" great, great line |

Not so much the government as Corporate Management. This song sounds very much like a union song, something not uncommon to DKM. It's also applicable to a democratic rebellion, like the American or French Revolutions. |

there's a lyrical problem as well. it's "Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved." 8 years of Catholic school and church going will chisel that into you |
