this song holds so much in it.dont even know where to start...
i think that this song is about being vulnerable to the things that we cant control. at one point he felt happy when there were 3 of them. it sounds like they lost a child which was their everything and now that they are 2 again it will never be the same. with the creation of the baby the world began and when it was taken away it felt like their world ended.
everything in life is reflected by everything else on different scales. the earth, the universe, our blood, the ocean. its all the same and connected and we are just another part of it all. its beyond our control but we are still effected by it. |

this song is saying "this is the way things are". you can put meaning in it or let it hurt you or make you happy but its just how it is. simple things like gravity still control the way of things. we live our lives and let it effect it but cant do much to change it. in the end everything will be just how it should |

i think this song is about the battle of temptation. maybe with drugs or with suicide. joining others in things that he knows will be self destructive and that he will have to pay for later but wants to anyways. at first its the devil talking. how we are all surrounded by death and we are easily confused and swayed. |

beautiful.. i think this song is him growing up and doing the things hes always dreamed of and at the same time realizing that the world is complex and difficult. he is on a surf trip that anyone would dream of but we forget about the details that it involves. when youre actually living it out you see the poverty and the ugly things in the world as well as the beautiful. it seems like he is overwhelmed and amazed by the difference in cultures. i think that he feels lucky and loves life but at the same time feels that he cant stop the troubles that will come along with it. |
