| Young Love – Don't Fight It Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I actually think that the two lines with the question mark rather than being: Don’t ever hold back You gripe and you will (…) It feels so good to release That you never (…) Were actually: You cried when you were born It feels so good to release The universe rumbles |

| Utada Hikaru – You Make Me Want To Be A Man Lyrics | 20 years ago |

"No matter how you look at it, somebody in this story is gay. " Uh, that's not quite right to me, but it's sort of close. One of the lyrics actually say "arguments that have no meaning" rather than "all your words that have no meaning." I thought this meant that there's a fundamental rift between the two genders, and she wishes that she were a man so that the two people would be more simpatico. Otherwise the two have petty arguments over misunderstandings (99% is misinterpreted), and have fierce fights since "every word [he] says, finds a home in [her]" which reminds me of how arrows are described. As for the cigarette part, it confuses me but I'm assuming that it's sort of a post-coital thing and she's a bit hurt that this guy would be so callous. She would then rather be "strong and relatable" like a gay guy but a relationship with the same person regardless. |
