| Propagandhi – Ska Sucks Lyrics | 20 years ago |
"Why do you hate ska music? We don't. Ska Sucks is only a joke. Don't take it too seriously. Feel free to skank your checkered little hearts out next time we play it in your town. Bring your moped if you like! ." (Taken from propagandhis official site). |

Npakaderm summed up this song pretty much. I have made the choice not to use drugs, because personally i feel i have been on enough drugs already, but anyway, I see their point perfectly. And a very valid point it is. |

| NOFX – The Fastest Longest Line Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| El hefe is a far more superior musician compared to fat mike, he used to be in mark curry band (his step brother by the way) . | |
| NOFX – Kill Rock Stars Lyrics | 20 years ago |

instead of assuming fat mike doesnt know what feminism is, could one be a little more constructive when critisising this song. And by reading some of bikini kills lyrics, it sounds like she did not like men. Isnt feminism about woman wanting political, social, and educational equality with men? Not hating them? |

| NOFX – The Black And White Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Yep, ignorance and arrogance. THats the main point put forward in this song, gays and lessies suffer because of ones ignorance. Im actually surprised more people havent commented on this song. I personally reckon its the best on Heavy petting Zoo, apart from Drop the World. Also its the fastest. | |
| Leftover Crack – Clear Channel (Fuck Off!) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
fuck world trade would make a great album name, but "shhot the kids at school"...well... anyway good song. I dont really think rancid are THAT mainstream compared to fucking nickleback and creed, i personally like them (matt owns!) |

| NOFX – The Death Of John Smith Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I believe he commits suicide in the end. "When the pity spins your mind, Darkness fills your heart, And I won't be around When you're feeling all alone Then you'll know it's time, To go into the ground*" *go into the grounds pretty self explanatory, hes buried, cuz hes dead, why? probably cuz he killed himself, also the title stating "the DEATH of john smith" kinda reflects that theory too. |

| NOFX – Drop The World Lyrics | 20 years ago |
also i dunno where someone got the idea that endorphins is an "injection drug", it is a chemical produced inside ones body, endorphins naturally block pain signals produced by the nervous system. Infact, scientists believe endorphins help people cope with stress, drug, alchohol abuse etc. ANYWAY, before i get carried away, this song is about (as stated by dsmeathers) over-achievers, nothing more, nothing less. |
| The Offspring – Dirty Magic Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| yep, same chords as vultures. but still, a great song. | |
| NOFX – Just The Flu Lyrics | 20 years ago |
quoted from a nofx interview on their official site, ur all wrong by the looks of it :P MRR: Is one of you’re new songs you sing about something like, “There’s no lesson to be learned if there’s nobody here to learn it.” Are NOFX actually getting sensitive or peace punky? Fat Mike: Oh, no. Not at all. It was either Stephen King or Harlan Ellison who wrote a story about everybody dying of the flu. So it’s like all that nuclear power, peace punk stuff is bogus, it’s just a virus that killed everybody. |
| NOFX – Drop The World Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| this song is similar in meaning to "lower". its about over-achievers, over achieving (duuuuh) and if the dont, they, i believe, become suicidal?? | |
| Sex Pistols – Anarchy in the U.K. Lyrics | 20 years ago |
the thing that annoys me is when people say this song sounds horrible and the sex pistols had no musical talent. THEY must be deaf. This is a good sounding song, guitars in tune, as is the singing, tempo remains the same, musically its great. |
| Sex Pistols – Anarchy in the U.K. Lyrics | 20 years ago |
"the Sex Pistols as far as I know, in their original two-year run, never actually called themselves punks. In fact, none of those original bands did (even though the Ramones were probably the ones who coined the phrase "punk-rock" with Sheena, but even they didn't really call themselves that). That's the thing; their point wasn't to go around declaring themselves punks. The word "punk" is a derogatory term labeled on the bands and their fans by people who opposed them." well, theres something called evolution isnt there? over time, it became a culture, a musical style, it became something. however i completely agree with your point baller. |

| Lagwagon – Laymens Terms Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| go be emo somewhere else ya cheese floss | |
| NOFX – We Got Two Jealous Agains Lyrics | 20 years ago |
they arent taking the "mick" out of people who have g'n'r cds (though most of their songs are the same and slashes solos are guitar scales {mainly major}) its just fat mikes saying basically "whats with this g'n'r ep?" did he dictate to people not to listen to g'n'r? NO. |
| NOFX – Release The Hostages Lyrics | 20 years ago |

agree. love the end when they fuck up and hefe yells "FUCK!" and throws something on the ground. |
| NOFX – American Errorist (I Hate Hate Haters) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| "you can turn the other cheek, just dont turn the other way" - fucking great line. | |
| NOFX – Re-gaining Unconsciousness Lyrics | 20 years ago |
who do people give TWOE so much crap and rant on about how much it sucks. the album is strong as fuck, lyrically anyway. anyway about this song. great song, pretty much about how politicina shandle shit in the USA and how its pretty sad that people just rather stay at home and keep warm ("so go back to your crib...") when they know that what the govt is doing is wrong, and not do anything about it. or i could be completely off :) |
| NOFX – Clams Have Feelings Too (Actually They Don't) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
IronyIsForSuckers is completely right on this one, but i think for the "clams have felligns too" part, i think fat mikes trying to justify that its alright to eat clams cuz they dont have a nervous system eyes etc etc, yets cows do, so we shouldnt eat cows. I think he copes a bit of shit from vegans for eating seafood, so in this song hes justifying it. or maybe im completely off. |
| NOFX – 13 Stitches Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| it was recorded at one of the bands places using a four tracker, it actually sounds fucking mint, drums are weak though. | |
| NOFX – We Threw Gasoline On The Fire And Now We Have Stumps For Arms And No Eyebrows Lyrics | 20 years ago |
IMO i dont think its to do with they think that theyve "sold out" (i hate that term), but more, its peoples opinions of them, and them possibly getting annoyed at being labelled sellouts, thus wanting it to be back in the olddays when they had shit equipment, no-one knew them, they were just that young band playing the underground. as for the selling out, NOFX HAVE NOT. War on Errorism is a masterpiece. Im a bassist myself and trust me, no rifs from previous records have been recycled for this album. "unnecessary name dropping to gain cred" is all a bunch of billshit (you avarant sound like a bush supporter...) and lyrically, NOFX are so fucking strong. They arent "namedropping" for shock value or for "cred", but because they want people to see how bush is fucking over the the US, and assist their fans to help out and stand against bush, bring about change. Nothing wrong with doing that is there? Thats what punk bands are supposed to do. I also believe bands are unjustly called "sellouts". Offspring may have moved from epitaph to sony, but they did for LESS money, LESS Im telling you. Is that really selling out? Sure theyre loaded now but so are NOFX (especially fatty). |

| NOFX – Straight Edge (Minor Threat cover) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Goin by what Fatty said in the "NOFX 10 years...DVD" Ian Mackaye called him up after hearing the cover and asked if he was making fun of the song, and fatty said no. Quote: "I just bought a load of shit off of this website so I'd kinda like an answer to this question. Don't you think your attitudes to drugs an' stuff could influence kids into doing something really stupid. No. Stupid people do stupid things, and most kids are stupid. I know I was when I was a kid. Shit I still do stupid things, but taking drugs isn't one of them. Life is about having fun, and experiencing as many things as possible. People who have a problem with drugs and alcohol, shouldn't do them, but for most of us who aren't addicts, getting fucked up now and then is not a problem. If you drive a car 150 miles an hour you've got a problem. It's not driving, it's you. If you take a handfull of acid, or pills, or drink a gallon of vodka, you've got a problem. It's not the drugs, it's you." Now doesnt that make sense? Fat Mike |

| NOFX – The Decline Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Now Im probably going to piss off some, if not alot of people. Im about to waste 15 minutes of my life to straighten one thing out. Punk. Its not about fitting in with trends etc, or putting pins on your scissor cut jeans as you go to a good charlotte concert, or swearing a fuck...alot, no, its a way of demonstrating originality. Showing society you do not have to conform. Breaking down the wall of "how things should be" and replacing it with "how things are." By breaking down the wall of what you have to adhere to you begin to see and realise all the flaws within society behind the mask of everything how it should be. Punk bands were based on simplicity and DIY methods. Singing songs demanding social change, songs about reality, that is what punk is about, reality. So listening to bands such as Blink 182 or Simple Plan does not make you punk. These bands may be good at what they do but they are pop-punk at the most because there is no real meaning or message being sent out. As Johnny Rotten put it, it is "sheer, brazen honesty", songs about girls or fake events or even swear songs (which was mildly entertaining) does not sound like this. The Punk Manifesto by Greg Graffin says “punk is: personal expression of uniqueness that comes from growing up in touch with our human ability to reason and ask questions”. Ask yourself those questions, why do I have to listen to that band everyone listens to? why do i have to buy this shirt? Dont. Be yourself. I know alot of people are going to be saying "na ur wrong yada yada" and for some of you I might have it wrong, but Im entitled to my own opinion and fuck any of you's who put me down all because i expressed it. “posers are people who look like punks, but they did it for fashion” WHEW! Now that Ive got that cleared up (and probably pissed of alot of people), This is and excellent songs, pretty self explanotory when you read the lyrics, but what the hell am I saying, go buy it, and listen to it!!! |
