I agree completely with the interpretation above. It seems like the phrase "Hey Boy Blue is back!" signifies that the hero is very dear to the small town, which has seen him grow up there into a mighty man. Though less important than the meaning, I want to say how amazing the music is on this song. i particularly like the strings in the instrumental part between the two main stanzas/parts of the song. |

The entire Time album takes place toward the end of the 21st century, in this case 2095. The song is written as a letter back in time to his girl friend, saying that he now has a robot woman who can do almost anything and yet because she is not human and, more importantly, not his girlfriend, he is very sad and does not enjoy all the new technology. |

I think that Duddits got it exactly right. If he doesn't like radio head it's his choice. I saw an interview of Kid Rock and basically he just "doesn't get that type of music". I don't really listen to radiohead so I can't offer too much on them. As far as kid rock goes, the guy is genius in some twisted way. When people say "kid rock is a joke", maybe they're onto something because a joke makes people laugh. His music makes me laugh, in a good way. As ridiculous as some of it is it just makes me happy hearing it.
Also, as far as his instrumental skills go, I can assure everyone that he can play almost every instrument on stage well, because i had the privilege of seeing him in concert. Simply amazing. He electrifies a coleseum like no other! |
