Um... wow. Okay, I loved Tarja, I really did. I respected her for her voice and everything, but this song is so... beautiful.
I like Anette's voice better. Her voice is softer, I like it. It makes the songs more beautiful. Of course, Tarja's voice was wonderful and all but... nope. Anette takes the cake here.
Anyways, about the song. To me it sounded like a song about a child leaving innocence behind. You know, that time in life when you no longer have that childish innocence. I dunno, that's how I interpreted it. |

The St. Joan of Arc thing.. I don't think it'd be correct. If it were that simple, the band wouldn't have kept the meaning a secret.
The only thing I can really think of as, "the distance between two places", that has to do with the song is the distance between life and death. Also, it's called 1:19, maybe they knew someone who was attempting to commit suicide and almost died at that time..? I have no idea, this is just a guess.. x_x; Hopefully someday Lacuna Coil will say the true meaning. |
