| Shadow Gallery – Comfort Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Room V is the sequel to Tyrrany. Basically a man goes on the run from the government along with a woman. The two fall in love, which is this song. It's a beautiful, but very tragic story. In the end, they marry, she has a kid, she dies in childbirth, child grows up, gets nabbed by Mossad, man goes after them, and the ending is left open but it seems the daughter is not rescued and he dies. That dual soaring vocal of "Cease and release and just fly" is jaw droppingly beautiful. And that female singer is just a local singer from the area of Pennsylvania the band is from. RIP Mike Baker. |

| Brings to mind the Punisher, at least the 2004 movie. That or Kill Bill. But I'm leaning more towards the Punisher. Best song on the album with a beautiful intro and outro. | |
| Type O Negative – Angry Inch Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
It's actually a cover of a song from the film and play Hedwig and the Angry Inch. It's about a gay guy who goes for a sex change and they screw it up. Bravo to Type O for tackling this song. |

| Prince – Purple Rain Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Nothing beats the live extended version from the Hits 2 collection. The five minute solo/jam at the end is a thing of beauty. It seems like most people are on spot with the meaning. But that last verse is odd. About needing a leader and whatnot. |

Well,it's about drinking plain and simple. And for everyone that asked, the backing vocals at the end say "don't know where we're going". |

| Simple Minds – Don't You (Forget About Me) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
This is my favorite 80s song. Simply beautiful and amazing. I think that the song is actually very hopeful. Yes,the couple broke up,but he has hope for them and thus,he's happy. Which explains the LA LA LA at the end. He's singing because he's happy. God this song is mindblowingly awesome. |

| Gerard McMann – Cry Little Sister Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
First off,Gerard McMann goes by the name G Tom Mac now. He released a new album in 2001 which contains an updated version of this song. The album itself is basically AOR type music, but its great. Second, the second verse lyrics are wrong. It should go: Blue masquerade Strangers look on When will they learn This loneliness Temptation heat Beats like a drum Deep in your veins I'll live nine lives Little sister One of the greatest songs ever written. Love the end scene of Kiefer impaled while the childrens chorus plays. By the way,if you have never seen a pic of G Tom Mac,you gotta. He's rather dorky looking. |
