and when he says the years burn, he means that all the years that they were happy together are just gone and burned away because of what thry did to him.
and when he says"disarm you with a smile
and cut you like you want me to
cut that little child
inside of me is such a part of you"
hes talking about getting revenge, and by inside of me is such a part of you he's talking about how they're related maybe, or so close that they are a part of him, and without them hes a different person |

i dont know if somebody's said this alread because i don't really have time to read through the other posts:
maybe when he says"the killer in me is the killers in you, my love" he doesnt mean it like he is talking to someone he loves, maybehe's saying that the killer in him is his love, and that killer is in you because you share love. and love is the killer because he you share love, but you abandoned him and hurted him and its killing him that you still have that love.
i'm probably wrong, just thought i'd share how i interpreted the song |

i agree with passionate music,
we should all bow down and worship the great neil peart! he is amazing, and everything he does is so deep. there's actually emotion in his drumming even , how many people can people can do that? |

they ripped this off from ritchie valens. they changed the name and gave themselves credit for writing it. ritchie's family sued them but never got any money out of it. |

ozzy isn't bad, but even though he had leslie west playing guitar on his version of this song, it was just horrible. this is not the kind of music that ozzys voice was meant sing. |

| Coheed and Cambria – 21:13 Lyrics

to whoever says that rush sounds like coheed and cambria:
no. coheed and cambria sounds like rush. only slightly, and that is just because of the vocals. there is no band as great as rush. they are the absolute best prog rock musicians and they pretty much founded prog metal. this song is nothng like 2112 and it is most likely just a coincidence in the name. coheed and combria is NOT prog rock. prog rockis a bunch of bands that sound like no other bands before. coheed and cambria sounds like hundreds of other bands today. they're not bad, but not good enough to be compared to rush and not original enough to be called prog rock. |

if you consider rush geeks for writing songs about lotr then i guess you would have to consider led zep geeks too-their songs are packed with lotr references. let me get this straight-in the 70s reading lotr did not make you a geek. i mean, has anyone accussed robert plant of being a geek? i think not |

the lyrics and drum parts were written by corky laing, the drummer from mountain. before he joined mountain, he was in a different band called energy. one time when they were putting on a concert, in new hampshire i think, the power went out so the only instrument that would work is the drums and corky laing noticed a girl dancing that interested him and he started playing drums to the beat of her dancing and shouting out thes lyrics. when he later joined up with mountain, he showed lesley west what he had witten and lesley west added the rest of the parts of this song. |
