This song suprised me in a good way. There is definetly that sad undertone throughout the song, but as it progresses things seem to brighten up. This is my favorite track so far on the CD because Trent has changed things up. There is a strong feeling of content as the song progresses which for me associates with hope and meaning (truth). We really have to ask ourselves what "other" version of the truth he is refering to. |

Not everyone is happy with him. The line "all apologies" seems to be stated in a sarcastic way because he is what he is. Everyone else is different than him from his view. He is not easily amused like some people can be. Most brilliant artists are brilliant for a reason. They think differently and feel differently than the "norm." |

This song is incredible, musically and lyrically. The song makes me see life as a whole, and how it moves so quickly from childhood into adulthood. We all want to return to earlier more "innocent" times, but life moves on and eventually ends. |

"It looks like the wall was in your head Not your heart" The segment above admits that your mind cannot lead you to God. I see this song showing that God cannot be figured out. Raine has come to this conclusion, and now he is waiting for people to break free from the cycle of religion (the way they want it). I would love to comment on the chorus, but it could mean so many things. I suspect "Paranoid Times" are in fact refering to the times of devistation that the world has been facing recently. (Hurricanes, Tsunami's, Terrorism). I would like to think that Raine is saying that being healthy in these times means following your heart. When searching for the truth comes from the heart, truth CAN be found. Whether or not Raine knows this part or not, I do not know. |

This is my favorite coldplay song yet... The brilliant lyrics combined with a powerful and emotional melody make it purely awesome. I see this song being about someone trying to "fix" a broken relationship. I believe it can relate to anyone who has been in love and fallen out of it regretfully. The work put in on X&Y has clearly paid off! |
