| Armor for Sleep – Basement Ghost Singing Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This song is the story of my life. It's about him being dead, her knowing, and trying to forget about it. He's saying to her that if she keeps her eyes open (the lights..) and listens closely to what he's said to her, she'll know that he still loves her. My interpretation. ps. They were amazing at Warped. Mmm Ben Jorgensen. |

| Aiden – World By Storm Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| It's about people rising up, fighting for something they believe in, and taking the world by storm. I saw them at Warped, and I thought I'd hate them because I thought Die Romantic & Last Sunrise sucked. But they do have some rad songs. | |
| Oceansize – Meredith Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This song was on the OC last Thursday, and uh I think I'm in love with it. Yay, & I got first comment. :D I think it's about someone who's trying to fight love with someone else, and gravity is pulling them down into it. |
| Avenged Sevenfold – Unholy Confessions Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Every time I hear this song I want to mosh until my face falls off or something. It's amazing. And I really like the video, too. | |
| Panic! at the Disco – I Write Sins Not Tragedies Lyrics | 20 years ago |
"I think here the singer is the groom and he's just heard about how his wife-to-be is a whore... after his initial anger, he thinks, regains his "poise and rationality"...this saves himself a lot of trouble in the future: "look at it this way/I mean technically our marriage is saved"" ^ I couldn't have said it better. |

| Panic! at the Disco – The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This song is about wanting to be famous, I think. And it's amazing. P!ATD owns faces. |
| Panic! at the Disco – Camisado (Relax, Relapse) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
brain_stew said it for me. And I hate that "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" is all over Fuse now. The last thing I need is another one of my favorite bands being oogled by millions of little brainless twits. They're still amazing. |

| Panic! at the Disco – Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I got their album @ FYE the day it came out. 9/27/05..so you should be able to get it by now. It's called "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out." This song is obviously about a girl cheating on a boy & leaving him, and he's pretty much saying, "well, it's your loss." And mhmm. Tis good. |
| Acceptance – Different Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I also think it's about wanting to change for a person, but not wanting to sacrifice whom you are. It's an amazing song. *presses repeat* |
| Hawthorne Heights – Saying Sorry Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Lyricalgenius87..I saw them last night. I'm guessing you're gonna see them in either Nashville or SC. I really like their new stuff..and this isn't the best they have to offer. They're really good live, too. :D |
| Bleed the Dream – Broken Wings Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I saw Bleed The Dream last night, and this song absolutely shattered me.. It is about their drummer. And my interpretation is along the same lines of trackmedown. |

| Paramore – Emergency Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I think we have an emergency I think we have an emergency If you thought I'd leave then you were wrong 'cause I won't stop holding on Are you listening? If you thought I'd leave then you were wrong 'cause I won't stop holding on This is an emergency So are you listening? And I can't pretend that I don't see this It's really not your fault No one cares to talk about it, talk about it I've seen love die way too many times when it deserved to be alive (deserved to be alive) I've seen you cry way too many times when you deserve to be alive, alive So you give up every chance you get just to feel new again I think we have an emergency I think we have an emergency And you do your best to show me love, but you don't know what love is So are you listening? So are you watching me? And I can't pretend that I don't see this It's really not your fault No one cares to talk about it, talk about it I've seen love die way too many times when it deserved to be alive (deserved to be alive) I've seen you cry way too many times when you deserve to be alive, alive I've seen love die way too many times when it deserved to be alive (deserved to be alive) I've seen you cry way too many times when you deserve to be alive, alive -- Those are the correct lyrics. I think it's about someone having a broken heart, and it being an emergency to the new love in his/her life.. Paramore's amazing. |
| Hawthorne Heights – Saying Sorry Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This reminds me of their first album.. Anyway. I think it's about a boy & a girl getting in a fight..and she's leaving him because she's sick of them fighting. He's seeing her cry and he feels like apologizing because it hurts him. Mhmm. That's my deduction. I'm seeing them live tomorrow. And there's my opinion. |
| Tegan and Sara – Downtown Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I agree with werechick. And this is an amazing song to fall asleep to. |
| Ryan Cabrera – True Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song is amazing. Just a little tidbit of info that you probably don't care about, but this is one of me & my girl's songs. I think it's about him loving a girl a lot, and when he finally gets the chance to be with her, he's not afraid to tell her so. | |
| Lindsay Lohan – Speak Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I agree with HappySoul. And mostly I'm a punk chick, but I love this song. |
| Simple Plan – Welcome to My Life Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Dear Simple Plan- Please kill yourselves. Thank you. ♥Jess |
| Eisley – One Day I Slowly Floated Away Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This song..I think is about, at first, her boyfriend maybe being a soldier? And he comes home and tells about his whole journey, and she wants to float away with him. That made no sense. Yep. But I really really love the song. |
| José González – Crosses Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song..wow. It's breathtaking. I don't know what it's about, but I'm supposing that it's about holding your head high. No matter what. I love it. | |
| The Spill Canvas – Bracelets Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| To me, and I could be totally wrong..but to me it seems like this guy is in love with this girl. And the shooting and killing heroes and all that deals with him being rejected by her, or her rejected by him because he's scared to face up and deal with what could quite possibly happen. He's hoping to tell her that he loves her but he's scared. | |
| Bowling for Soup – 1985 Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Okay. I hate this song. I could tolerate it when it first came out and I almost started liking it. But then MTV killed it. It can suck my ass and die. Bowling For Soup sucks, and they are not punk. Kbye. | |
| Vanessa Carlton – Twilight Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I was stained with a role, In a day not my own. And as you walked into my life, you showed what needed to be shown. And I always knew what was right, Just didn't know that might, Peel away and choose to see with such A different sight. And I will never see the sky...the same way. and I will learn to say good-bye to yesterday and I will never cease to fly if held down and will always reach too high... Cause I've seen...cause I've seen... Twilight Never cared Never wanted Never sought to see what flaunted So on purpose So in my face Couldn't see beyond own place And it was so easy not to behold what I could hold But you taught me.. I could change whatever came within these shallow days. And I will never see the sky...the same way. and I will learn to say good-bye to yesterday and I will never cease to fly if held down and I will always reach too high... cause I've seen...cause I've seen... As the sun shines through It pushes away and pushes ahead Fills the warmth of blue and leaves a chill instead and I didn't know that I could be so blind to all that is so real And as illusion dies I see there is so much to be revealed. And I will never see the sky...the same way. and I will learn to say good-bye to yesterday and I will never seize to fly if held down and I will always reach too high... cause i've seen...cause i've seen... Twilight I was stained with a role, in a day not my own. And as you walked into my life, you showed what was needed to be shown. And I always knew what was right, I just didn't know that i might, Peel away and choose to see with such a different sight. And I will never see the sky...the same way. and I will learn to say good-bye to yesterday and I will never seize to fly if held down and I will always reach too high... cause I've seen...cause i've seen... Twilight -- Those are the correct lyrics. < 3 |

| Vanessa Carlton – Private Radio Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I think this is also about what she's thinking of (see rollingoveryou) and there's a lot of things that she keeps to herself; and I think that during one part of the song someone manages to find out what goes on in her head "on a whim I'll leave this town" and so she starts over. Could be skank and completely off but yeahhh. | |
| Thursday – For The Workforce, Drowning Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| These lyrics make me contemplate. They make me want to think. And as to that "deep_and_down" person, Thursday isn't pop. It's kind of screamoish. If it was a pop song I'm pretttyyyy sure MTV would have grabbed it by now. But from reading the lyrics it's talking about the suits&ties becoming drones to everyday society and the same mindless routine. Geoff was just able to put a better spin on it. | |
| Garbage – Why Do You Love Me Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I'm surprised that not more people have commented on this song! I bought "Bleed Like Me" a week or so ago, and yes, I'd already heard "Why Do You Love Me." I think the meaning of the song is clear...she's asking the guy why he loves her. But it's not because he's so perfect and she's so flawed; it's because he treats her badly, "I've held back a wealth of shit and I think I'm gonna choke" and she's telling him that if he wants her he has to accept her for who she is, not some product-to-pop chick. The one thing that signifies that he has done her wrong is "I think you're sleeping with a friend of mine, I have no proof, but I think that I'm right." She's lost her paranoia by this stage. But he loves her and she's wondering if he has an ulterior motive for it. | |
| Brand New – Guernica Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Guernica's a song that symbolizes a lot to me on Deja Entendu. It seems as if somebody is in love with a person, but not...with them. They have fights and usually the other person wins, hence the "your word is the word that always won." It is one of my favorite songs on DE. To me it also symbolizes one person wanting to help someone else out or fix someone but they can't because they feel they are not strong enough. Wow. That was a rant. Ah whatever. |
| The Used – Greener With The Scenery Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I think that this song is looking at romance in a somewhat abusive perspective. The girl mistreats the boy...or the boy mistreats the girl, or however you want to look at it. The line, "I love you even though it isn't fair" specifically sticks out in my mind because the girl/boy feels like they shouldn't love their significant other because of how this person treats them. That's the simple explanation of it. | |
