Just an amazing song and amazing band. The silence monologue is resonates with a lot Buddhist ideas, especially Zen. Can't get enough of this. |

"Who needs the help of a shrink
To even leave the house"
Sounds like some sort of social anxiety and depression, with the pills and shrink and everything. Poor Buddy. |

It's (I think anyway) obviously about Buddy going to see a psychologist during his crisis of faith and realising it's a waste of time. |

Trusworth it's called paying homage. They stated in loads of interviews influences for this album were bands they listened to growing up in the 80's. Don't be such a posessive neurose, AFI can evolve in whatever way they want, this is a great album whether you like it or not. |

I think you're taking the vampire theme too literally, I believe the 'vampire' is supposed to be Davey's allegorical way of portraying lovers using and hurting each other, used throughout the album. |

Sounds like Davey had social anxiety to me, or something similar. |

Mimickid, three years for someone to say this but you're wrong mate. It's just an intoxication semantic field. |

2004 since someone last commented on this? I love this song and it's pretty damn obvious what it's about like all of AFI's old stuff, that doesn't diminish it though. |

Yeah you'll go down in history now vikko.
Anyway, I hate this one, I can't stand Toms slurring.
It's fairly uncryptic, a relationship based on lies gets out of control like a wild fire. |

Anyone listening to Blink, BCR or AVA for musical masterpieces need to listen to a broader range or music. This sort of music is just fun, nothing amazing, nothing life changing, just solid music. Unless you're an idiot of course. |

o c'mon its pretty easy, this is a song about Adam when he was doing drugs "we wont stand for hazy eyes anymore" c'mon pretty simple, so sick of being tired, and tired of being sick, classic sypmtoms of drug users |

I do'n't want to associate all of P!ATD's songs to Palahniuk here but I'm alsmost certain they got some inspiration from Survivor for this where a certain character uses some enhacning drugs then to fix the side effecs, uses more drugs, then for those side effects more drugs and so on. It reminds me of this verse:
Prescribed pills
To offset the shakes
To offset the pills
You know you should take...
It a day at a time.
There's other verses that could be interpreted into Survivor too but they're not as conclusive in my eyes. |

| Boys Night Out – Composing Lyrics

Lol I guess this confusion is why BNO asked people not to put up lyrics yet, still thanks for the attempt chanel5.
Anyway the entire of Train Wreck is based on a fictional tale which Jeff created and then each of the songs is basically a chapter.
BNO say in Sketch Artist "You are my Canvas" showing they class murder and dismemberment etc. as Art, therefore I'm guessing this song is also about murder and seeing it as an Art form, 'Composing' being killing and directing the flow of things.
I love these guys. |
