For me, this song is a beautiful and painful representation of the mental state you enter when there's distance separating you and your significant other. In a long distance relationship, it feels like you're counting down life. The only thing that matters is how many days there are left until you can see your love again. So I think this is a reference to how Lights and Beau can't see each other when they're on tour. |

Having seen Gaga in concert a couple months ago, where she exclaimed "I'm a free bitch," when she was addressing the crowd, and also listening to the rest of Fame Monster (which you clearly haven't listened to), where she says "I'm a free bitch" in other songs as well..... it's free bitch, end of story. | |

okay. i'm sorry for getting angry. but jamie, what you just quoted isn't even a verse. the correct verse is: "you wore that red shirt that i love, i sang the songs that i wrote you we'll laugh our way down the beaches as we dance around the issue" and it is NOT in the mayday parade version. |

it's definitely "down and to the left." i don't even think it remotely sounds like turn. and xtrisaratops, the mayday parade version does NOT include that verse... the original song, by kid named chicago, has that verse. the mayday parade version does not. |

hate to rain on your parades guys, but matty t actually said this song was about god.. in an interview (i cant remember which one, but ill post the link if i remember) they asked him about the girl in the video and why she was there. and he said that he was disappointed that they focused on the girl because the song is definitely a "spiritual" song. so there you have it.. straight from the mouth of relient k :) |
